The MH CET Law 2026 Application Process is extended for 3-year LAW course. The application process for MH CET Law 2026 is online only. As per the revised schedule, candidates can fill the 3-year Application Form until February 28, 2026 and MH CET LLB 5-yr Application Form until March 15, 2026. Candidates must note that the MHCET Law 2026 application process can be completed on cetcell.mahacet.org.  The MH Law CET Exam 2026 will be held for admission to both 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB programmes. As per the MH CET Law Exam Schedule 2026, the exam will be held separately for both courses. 

The MHCET Law 3-year LLB exam will be conducted on April 01, 2026, and April 02, 2026, whereas the MHCET 5-year LLB tentative exam date is May 08, 2026.

The application process will include online registration, filling of necessary academic and contact details, uploading of the latest photograph & signature, fee payment, and verification. The candidates aspiring to the MHCET Law 2026 exam must refer to the eligibility criteria as released officially for the 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB before applying for the exam:

  • Graduated in any stream
  • A minimum of 45% marks is required in the qualifying exam.
  • The candidates belonging to the SC/ ST category must score atleast 40% marks.
  • Candidates who belong to the OBC category will need 42% marks to sit for the MHCET Law exam
MH CET Law eligibility criteria for 5-year LLB
  • Pass in 10+2 is required to appear for the MHCET Law exam
  • Candidates belonging to the open category are required to score atleast 45% marks in their qualifying exam.
  • The SC/ ST category candidates must score 40% marks in their qualifying exam
  • Candidates who belong to the VJNT, SBC, and OBC categories should score atleast 42% marks

  • Candidates who have completed their basic regular education from Class 1 to Class 10 and Class 12 from an open college, university, or distance learning institution are eligible for the MH CET Law 2026 exam.

Maharashtra State Candidature / Category Types

For admission to colleges accepting MH CET Law 2026, the Maharashtra State candidature type has been divided into different sub-categories. These subcategories have been mentioned below:

  • Candidates who belong to Maharashtra domicile (They should produce a Maharashtra domicile certificate)
  • Candidates who were born in Maharashtra (They should produce a birth certificate mentioning a place in Maharashtra as their birthplace)
Type B
  • Candidates whose father or mother is domiciled in Maharashtra
Type C
  • Candidates whose father or mother is working for the Government of Maharashtra or the Government of India and is posted in Maharashtra
