
AmLAT 2026 will be conducted by Amrita International School of Law, a part of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The test will be taken for admission to 5-year integrated BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) courses. The students aspiring to get admission to the UG in Law courses will have to apply online at, amrita.edu/admissions/law. The AmLAT application schedule for the 2026-27 session will be released on the official website. The interested candidates will be required to apply for the test before the deadline. The candidates will have to ensure the AmLAT eligibility criteria before applying for the course.
However, the candidates who have already appeared in the CLAT 2026 or AILET 2026, will not be required to sit for the AmLAT exam. What is AmLAT?
AmLAT is a Law entrance exam conducted for admission to the BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) courses offered at the Amrita International School of Law. This Law school is a part of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham which has around ten campuses in Bengaluru, Chennai, Amravati, Amritapuri, Kochi, Coimbatore, Mysore, Faridabad, Nagercoil and Haridwar. Amrita Vidya Vishwapeetham received 8th rank in the NIRF 2025.

AmLAT 2026 Admission Process
To apply for the AmLAT exam, candidates will have to access the online application available at the Amrita International School of Law website. The candidates appeared in CLAT 2026 or AILET 2026 exam, will not need to sit for the AmLAT exam. Read the stages given below to understand the admission process for the Law courses at Amrita International School of Law-
- Admission is based on scores of Law Entrance Test and merit in qualifying exam.
- Scores of CLAT or AILET will be required.
- If candidates have not appeared in any of the above Law entrance exam, they will have to sit for the AmLAT exam.

AmLAT 2026 Application Form
The candidates will have to apply online for the Law entrance exam, AmLAT. The application window for the 2026-27 session will open tentatively in May 2026. The last date to apply for the exam will be notified by the examination cell, after which no registrations will be accepted. Refer to the process given below to apply for the AmLAT 2026 exam-

- Visit, edu/admissions/law.
- Now, click on ‘Apply Now’ tab.
- A new webpage will appear.
- Register using your name, email ID and mobile number
- Fill Application- The candidates will have to enter the personal details including contact details, parents’ name, enter mobile number, address, etc.
- Make the Fee Payment- Once the application is complete, candidates will have to make the fee payment to successfully register for the exam.
- Enter Academic Details- Fill in the details about the qualifying exam. The applicants will have to enter the marks and percentage achieved in the 10+2 exam.
- Upload Documents- The last stage in the application process is uploading the documents such as latest photograph and signature. Also, upload 10th and 10+2 exam marksheets, if asked in the required format.
AmLAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the admission to the BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) exam offered at the Amrita International School of Law, candidates will have to meet the eligibility criteria as provided follows-
- The applicant must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board.
- The minimum score required is at least 60 per cent marks or equivalent grade.
- The candidates who are still appearing in qualifying exam or awaiting the results can also apply for the exam.
- The admission to the candidates awaiting result will be provided if they produce the marksheet during the admission process.

Aspirants looking to sit for the exam must understand the structure of exam and know the topics to be asked. Through this, they will be able to create a strategy to crack the exam. The AmLAT exam will have three sections namely,
General English section will have questions based on-
- Basic grammer up to 12th level.
- Meaning of various words and phrases under this section.
General Awareness and Current Affairs sections will have questions on-
- Static – India’s history, geography, economy, and polity.
- Dynamic – Current events and developments in India and the world.
