Does IBSAT Have Sectional Cutoff?
Yes, IBSAT has sectional cutoffs. This means that, along with meeting the overall scores required for admission through IBSAT, candidates have to meet the minimum qualifying marks criteria for each section as well. This is done to ensure an applicant is competent in all areas tested through the entrance exam. However, candidates must note that meeting the sectional cutoff requirement is only one step towards admission. The IBSAT final merit list is prepared based on Micro Presentation (25% weightage), Personal Interview (PI) (25% weightage), and Previous Academic Records (50% weightage). Candidates must perform well in these stages also to increase their chances of getting admission to the target college.
IBSAT Selection Process
IBSAT-accepting colleges conduct the IBSAT selection process in offline mode. There are three rounds in its selection process. These are:
- The first round is Micro Presentation. In this round, candidates are given three topics, and they have to perform on any one of them for 3 minutes. This stage tests the applicant's communication and thinking skills.
- Those who clear the micro presentation are called for Personal Interview round, where they will be judged for their confidence, communication skills, business aptitude, and general attitude.
- After the final selection result is out, eligible candidates have to take admission in the participating IBS college as per their IBSAT cut off and final selection criteria.
