Q: What is MAH CET score normalization process?

MAH CET score normalization process is undertaken to ensure that all candidates are judged on the same plane. This is done because MAH MBA CET is a multi-session exam and it may be possible that one session can be slighter easier or tougher than another. MAH CET score normalization ensures that no candidate has an advantage or disadvantage over another due to differences in difficulty level of their exam session. So, before the preparation of the MBA CET result and merit list, the Maharashtra CET normalizes the exam scores. Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all candidates who appear for MAH CET. Basically, the marks obtained by every candidate are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session.

The marking scheme of MAH MBA CET is very straightforward. The total marks is 200 hundred for 200 questions. Which means, every question carries one mark. There is no negative marking. In case of incorrect attempt, candidates will be marked zero. If they skip a question, even then they will be marked zero. Total marks of a candidate will be calculated out 200 on the basis of their total number of correct attempt. Section wise the marks allotment is as follows: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension: 50 marks Logical Reasoning: 75 marks Abstract Reasoning: 25 marks Quantitative Aptitude: 50 marks The MAH CET percentile is calculated out of normalized scores of every test take across all the sessions of the exam. The percentile is calculated on the basis of top scoring candidate’s marks against all other candidates.

The total marks of MBA CET are 200 and candidates need not worry about making incorrect attempt. They must however avoid random selection of options as correct answers. They should take time in understanding the question and then choose the option. It is not mandatory to solve all the questions in MAH CET so candidates can spend some time on the questions and then answers. The exam will be of 2.5 hours and if they answers 75-80 questions correctly, they stand to gain a good percentile.

MAH MBA CET Analysis 2025: VARC

The VARC section of MAH MBA CET 2025, Day 1 was easy. There were no grammar questions and the section was dominated by Vocabulary. There were 9 RC passages with about 20 questions. Questions on Verbal Ability were of standard type. Parajumbles were easy.

On Day 2, there were 12 RC passages but short in length and easy to understand. Vocabulary and Grammar questions were also easy. There were standards topics like error spotting, preposition, etc.

On Day 3, VARC section of MAH MBA CET 2025 was easy to moderate. There were nearly 20 RC questions. Rest of the questions were grammar and vocabulary based.

MAH MBA CET Analysis 2025: Quantitative Aptitude

The Quantitative Aptitude section of MAH MBA CET 2025, Day 1 can be considered easy to moderate. The questions were calculation intensive. Most of the questions were from Arithmetic. Other dominant topics were Geometry and Probability.

On Day 2, there was no major change in Quantitative Aptitude section. Most of the questions were from Arithmetic, Probability, Number System. There were 2 DI sets based pie chart and line graph. Overall, Quants section was easy to moderate on Day 2.

On Day 3, there were no DI questions in Quantitative Aptitude. The section had pure Quant questions from Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry. There were lot of calculation intensive questions.

MAH MBA CET Analysis 2025: Logical Reasoning and Abstract Reasoning

The Abstract Reasoning and Logical Reasoning section of MAH MBA CET 2025 , Day 1was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. This section had direct questions. There were a lot of puzzles. There were also questions on Seating Arrangement, Spell the Word, Blood Relation, and Directions. There were no syllogism and input-output questions.

On Day 2, there were 5 caselets in Logical Reasoning section. There were questions on puzzles, logics, family relations, family tree. There were no questions from critical reasoning. Abstract Reasoning has regular puzzles like identifying patterns from the figures, finding missing piece.

On Day 3, there were approximately 20 questions on caselets in Logical Reasoning section. Some of them were doable, some of them could have been skipped. The Abstract Reasoning questions were more or less easy.
