MAH MBA CET score normalisation is a process of assessing the performance of candidates across exam sessions on the same scale. Test takers must know the formula of MAH CET score normalisation. Check here, how will MAH MBA CET 2025 score be normalised?

MAH CET score normalization

MAH MBA CET Score Normalisation - MAH MBA CET is a popular state level entrance exam which records over 60,000-70,000 test takers every year. Since the exam is conducted in multiple sessions, the examination body does not prepare the MBA CET result on the basis of candidates' raw scores i.e. a total of correct and incorrect answers. It follows a score normalisation process to ensure that every MAH MBA CET candidate is assessed on the same scale.

Q:   Which college can I get in Maharashtra for MBA with 59.23%ile in MAH-CET?
A:

This percentile in MAH-CET, as an open category student from outside Maharashtra, will not be probable as most top MBA colleges within the state ask for 85–90% and above. Even with your current score, it is going to be really tough to get you into a good college. Take the MAH-CET again or look for other MBA entrance exams like CAT, XAT, or MAT. Better preparation and a higher score next year will surely give you a better shot at a reputable institution. All the very best with your efforts!

Q:   Which colleges can I expect in CAP round as I have got 95.77 percentile in CET (All India category)?
A:
As you belong to All India category, it is very difficult to get a good college in Mumbai. Lala college closed at around 96.5 percentile last year. The only college which had a cutoff lower than 95 Percentile was MIT and Indira which closed at 93.5 percentile. I would suggest to avoid these colleges and if you can, please give the entrance exams again and aim for better colleges.
Q:   Is MAH CET MBA CAP cut off-based?
A:
Yes, MAH MBA CET counselling is cut off-based which is held after the result announcement. MAH CET counselling is conducted round-wise. In this process, candidates have to register online, participate in online counselling and confirm admission by submission of documents and final admission by making fee payment. After that, the admission cell, prepares cut offs and seat allotment lists category wise for MBA/MS admission. Candidates from outside Maharashtra state are also eligible for MAH CET CAP under the All India Seats category. The registration, exam and counselling processes for All India Seats category students are same as that of Maharashtra State category candidates. The MBA CET CAP is held for 2-3 months. For 2022 academic session, it was held from October 7 to November 18, 2022. MAH MBA CET 2023 counselling process dates will be announced after the declaration of result of the entrance exam. The registration process will be online and the MAH CET MBA CAP form submission will go on for 10-14 days.
Q:   What's the MAH CET cut off for PGDM at Welingkar Mumbai?
A:

Welingkar Mumbai cutoff 2023 for PGDM and PGP-FTM is based on MAH CET scores followed by the CAP Counselling  round. Welingkar Mumbai cutoff 2023 closed at 99.97 Percentile after CAP Round 1 seat allotment results for General category All India students. Also, MAH CET CAP Counselling 2023 concluded with the release of Round 3 Seat Allotment. The cutoff for Welingkar Mumbai 2023 in Round 2 was 99.98 Percentile and for Round 3 the cutoff was 99.96 Percentile for All India Quota candidates belonging to the General category.

What is MAH MBA CET Percentile Score?

MAH MBA CET percentile score is referred to as the scores based on the relative performance of all the test takers. To calculate the Percentile Score, marks obtained by every candidate are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0.

According to the definition shared by the Maharashtra CET, "the Percentile Score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored EQUAL TO OR BELOW (same or lower raw scores) that particular Percentile in that examination. Therefore the topper (highest score) of each session will get the same Percentile of 100 which is desirable.”

Marks obtained in between the highest and lowest scores are also converted to percentiles for preparing the MAH CET rank-list.

In MAH CET MBA/MMS, the percentile score will be the Normalised Score (instead of the raw marks scored). The MAH MBA CET Percentile Scores will be calculated up to seven decimal places. The formula for Percentile score calculation is:

100 x (No. of candidates in a session with raw score ≤  the candidate’s score)

Total number of candidates in the session

Sectional percentiles will also be calculated by the same formula. Candidates must note that MAH CET percentile is not the same as percentage of marks obtained.
