INI CET May 2026 exam date has been announced. AIIMS has released tentative date for exam, i.e May 16, 2026. Students have to register online and submit application form for INI CET exam. AIIMS will release INI CET 2026 application form online and students have to submit thee only. An official brochure will be released, comprising important dates and details related to application, eligibility criteria, exam pattern etc. INI CET application form process starts with online registration. Registration can be done at aiimsexams.ac.in once registration link gets activated. AIIMS is expected to start registration for INI CET May 2026 exam in third week of March 2026. Candidates are allowed to declared 3 test cities for INI CET exam. They are expected to declare test cities as per their preference. The list of test cities will be available with INI CET 2026 application form. Name and address of test centre will be provided with admit card. Candidates must note once allotted no request to change test centre will be entertained.
You may or may not get INI CET centre of your choice. Candidates are asked to fill 3 test centre as per their preference. It must be noted candidates are allotted test centre on the basic of first cum first. That is the reason candidates are advised to fill application form for INI CET 2026 as early as possible. The choice of test cities made by applicant cannot be changed after submission of application form.
INI CET May 2026 Eligibility Criteria
In order to appear for INI CET exam, students need to fulfill certain eligibility requirements. Some of the eligibility criteria have been provided below:
- Students must have MBBS degree from recognized institute/college
- They should have scored minimum marks. Minimum marks criteria is 55% for general category. SC/ST category students need to have 50% minimum marks.
- Internship must be completed as per deadline mentioned in brochure
- There is no capping on age and number of attempt
INI CET May 2026 Application Form
AIIMS will release INI CET May 2026 application form online. It must be noted, AIIMS will not accept offline or any modes of application form INI CET exam. Whole application process for INI CET May 2026 comprises steps such as online registration, filling personal and academic details in application form, uploading images, paying exam fee, and choosing exam centre. Before applying online for exam, students are advised to check eligibility criteria. Online registration can be done at aiimsexams.ac.in. Students will have to submit basic details such as name, mobile number, date of birth, etc to complete registration for INI CET. After successful registration, application ID and password will be generated.
INI CET 2025 eligibility criteria have been released by AIIMS along with the information brochure. Candidates should have MBBS/BDS degree from a recognised medical college/university. The minimum aggregate to be obtained by General/OBC/Gen-PwD category candidates is 55 per cent and for the SC/ ST/ SC-PWD/ ST-PWD, the minimum aggregate is 50 per cent.
The merit list can be downloaded by logging to the official website, aiimsexams. ac.in In and clicking on the link 'list of provisionally eligible candidates for INI CET seat allocation' given on the homepage. The merit list comprises details such as roll number of candidate, category, institutional preference, overall rank, and percentile. INI CET merit list includes candidates equal to eight times the total number of seats to be allotted. Candidates included in the merit list are eligible for INI CET counselling.
There is no capping on number of attempts for INI CET exam. At the same time there is no age limit. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can apply online for INI CET exam for admission into PG courses such as MD, MS, MDS etc. AIIMS releases INI CET application form online and candidates have to fill and submit it there only. No offline and other modes of application is accepted. It must be noted INI CET application process comprises basic and final registration. Candidates have to complete the basic registration first to proceed for the final registration. The exam is conducted bi anuallly in computer-based mode.

Syllabus for INI CET 2026 May Exam
Before starting preparation for INI CET, students do want to know exam syllabus. AIIMS doesn’t release word by word syllabus for INI CET exam. INI CET syllabus mainly includes all those subjects which are taught as part of MBBS curriculum. Syllabus for INI CET can be divided into three sections, pre clinical, para clinical and clinical subjects. Students are advised to prepare all subjects as part of INI CET syllabus to get good rank in exam. As INI CET is one of the toughest exams, students must not leave any subject and topic.
INI CET 2026 May Pattern
INI CET 2026 May exam pattern will be released along with official brochure. Exam pattern includes mode and medium of exam, total number of questions, their type, marking scheme etc. As per existing INI CET pattern, exam will be held in computer-based mode. A total of 200 multiple-choice questions will be asked in exam. Students will be provided total 3 hours to answer INI CET question paper. Check below given table for INI CET exam pattern.

INI CET 2026 May Exam Preparation Tips
Students who prepare for INI CET 2026 May exam need to plan properly in order to get good rank in exam. As INI CET is one of the toughest exams for PG admission, students should not leave any stone unturned for INI CET 2026 preparation. Check some of INI CET 2026 May exam tips given below:
- Draw out a detailed plan of remaining 2 to 3 months
- Try to complete syllabus in first one and half month
- Keep in mind concept is key. Do not finish INI CET syllabus just for the sake of it.
- Start from high weightage subjects and so on
- Also, create daily plan of study, giving specific hours for particular subject
- Revision is very important. At least two revision is must before exam-day
- After finishing syllabus, start mock test and attempt previous year INI CET question paper
