
NEET PG 2025 cut off score has been released along with the result. NEET PG 2025 result was announced on August 19, 2025. The cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that a candidate has to secure to qualify for the exam. NEET PG 2025 cutoff has been reduced in comparision to previous years. The cutoff for NEET PG 2025 is the basis for shortlisting candidates for MD/MS/ PG diploma courses in India. Candidates have to score more than or equal to the cut off to qualify for NEET PG exam. Qualifying cutoff for NEET PG 2025 has already been released. Only those candidates who qualify for the examination with minimum cut off are eligible for the counselling process. NBE conducted the exam on August 3 and NEET PG 2025 result was announced on August 19, 2025. On August 27, 2025, NBE announced NEET PG 2025 merit list for 50% AIQ seats. On the basis of cut off marks, a merit list is prepared, comprising candidates who will be participating in counselling for All India Quota Seats. Factors determining cut off of NEET PG 2025
There are certain factors that decide the cut off marks for NEET PG 2025 exam. These are as follows:
- Number of candidates who appeared for NEET PG exam
- Total number of seats available
- The difficulty level of the examination
- Previous years’ cutoffs
Candidates must note that scoring above the NEET PG cutoff 2025 percentile will not guarantee admission to them. It is mandatory to participate in the counselling of NEET PG for admissions to the desired course/college.
NEET PG cut off 2025: Tie-Breaker
In case of two students secure the same score in the NEET PG merit list 2025, then the following tie-breaking criteria will be considered for providing admission:
More number of correct responses: Candidates who have a greater number of correct responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position.
Less number of incorrect responses: Those with a lesser number of negative responses in the question paper will be placed at a higher rank in NEET PG 2025 merit list.
Age: The candidate who will be older than his/her counterpart will be preferred in case of the tie.
Higher aggregate marks: In case of the tie, the candidate who had secured higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examinations will be preferred.

NEET PG 2025 merit list will be released online based on cut off score. NBE uploads the merit list for All India Quota 50 percent seats on the official website, nbe.edu.in in PDF format. Candidates have to download the merit list which comprises candidate's roll number, category, NEET PG 2025 rank, All India 50% Quota Rank, and All India 50% Quota Category rank. Candidates who will be included in the merit list will be eligible to participate in NEET PG 2025 counselling. These candidates will have to register online for NEET PG 2025 seat allocation.

No, online registration for NEET PG counselling is a one-time process. Those who have already registered once don't need to register again. Only those candidates who have not registered themselves during round 1 need to register for the round 2/mop-up round. Registration can be done in any round except last one on the official website. Mcc. Nic. In. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts counselling for allotment of 50% All India Quota seats.

Candidates have to score the minimum cut off to qualify for the exam. The cut off varies for different categories. NEET PG 2025 cut off percentile for the general category students is 50. Those who score less than minimum cut off for that category do not qualify for the exam. A merit list is released based on the cut off marks, comprising name of candidates eligible for the counselling rounds. Yes. NBE reduces NEET PG cut off in case seats remain vacant after counseling rounds. Reducation of cut off makes more number of candidates eligible to participate in the counselling who were earlier ineligible due to low score. Last year, NBE reduced cut off twice. For 2023-24 session, NBE had reduced cut off to zero for all category. For 2022-23 session, the cut off was reduced by 25 percentile for each category.
