What is UGAT Exam?
AIMA Undergraduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) is a common entrance exam for admission to undergraduate programmes such as Integrated MBA, BBA, BCA and BHM and other courses. UGAT exam is conducted in a paper-based test mode by the All India Management Association (AIMA). UGAT tests candidates on their knowledge of English, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Numerical & Data Analysis.

UGAT 2026 Eligibility & Application
Students must make sure that they check and meet the UGAT eligibility criteria before filling the UGAT application form. The application that does not comply with the eligibility criteria is rejected. Below are the eligibility requirements for UGAT exam:
- The candidate must have cleared Class 12 from a recognised board.
- The aspirants should have secured at least 50% aggregate at the Class 12 level.
- Candidates waiting for their results can also apply.
- There is no age limit to appear for the UGAT exam

- Creating a new user profile by filling the UGAT registration form with details such as name, date of birth, gender, email ID and phone number, etc.
- Filling complete UGAT application form using username and password.
- Paying UGAT application fee via credit or debit card, internet banking, UPI, demand drafts or other banking wallets.
- Uploading documents in prescribed format.

- Go to the website of AIMA
- Click on the online registrations by students for UGAT in the quick links section
- Click on the Fresh Student to create login button and register with details including name, date of birth, email id, etc.
- Click on the Fill Application button and fill in details such as the choice of city, address, mobile number, academic details, etc.
- Upload a photograph and signature and make a fee payment to complete the registration
- Take a printout of the UGAT 2026 application form

The UGAT application fee is paid online only. Candidates have to pay INR 750 as the UGAT form fee to apply for the exam. The payment can be made using a credit or debit card, internet banking and demand draft.

UGAT 2026 Counselling
The job of exam conducting body ends with the declaration of result. With the release of UGAT result 2026, candidates can now apply at participating institutes for admission. Candidates who appeared for the exam must have selected five colleges during registration. Such candidates are eligibile to participate in the counselling process of selected colleges.
UGAT Selection Process
The selection process through UGAT exam includes following steps:
- Selection of five AIMA participating institutes at the time of UGAT registration
- Application to preferred institutes from the respective official websites.
- Shortlisting of applicants by colleges.

Solving the UGAT question paper is very important from preparation point of view. Since UGAT is a speed based test where candidates have to read long passages, tables and charts, do multiple calculations and solve tricky puzzles, one needs to have prior practice of the same. The UGAT mock tests serve this purpose. However, to know what type of passages and puzzles are there in the UGAT exam, you need to solve previous years' question papers. AIMA UGAT exam is conducted in many Tier 1 test cities in India. Among these, UGAT exam is conducted in Jaipur, Rajasthan. There are no other cities or districts in the state of Rajasthan where UGAT exam is conducted.
Candidates who are appearing for the UGAT exam must report at the exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam. The UGAT exam will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Candidates must reach the exam centre the latest by 8:00 AM. Candidates must also note, that they will not be allowed to leave the exam centre before the exam gets over.

UGAT admit card was released on June 9, 2026. UGAT admit card was available online and candidates can download AIMA UGAT hall ticket using their login details.

- Enter your UGAT Application Form Number and Password, or date of birth to log in
- UGAT admit card will appear on the screen
- Check all the details carefully
- Take a printout of the admit card
Candidates can choose upto five UGAT test cities according to their preference. Candidates must very carefully select the cities as once the UGAT application form is submitted, they can't change city preference. They should choose the first city of preference as their hometome or where they are residing as the exam authorities will likely allot the test centres to candidates in their first city of preference. Candidates are allotted a test centre in second or third preference only if the seats have been filled or the exam centre has been cancelled at that location. Candidates should know that the UGAT test cities cannot be changed once the form is submitted even during the form correction window.
The important documents to be carried to the exam centre include the following:
- Two coloured printouts of the UGAT admit card
- Photos of the candidate affixed to the AIMA UGAT admit card (preferrable the same as the one uploaded in SET application form)
- Valid photo ID proof (issued by the Government of India) such as Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Pan Card, etc.
- Black or blue ball point pen
- Hand sanitizer
- Transparent water bottle
No, candidates can not make any changes once the UGAT application form has been submitted and the admit card has been issued. Candidates can however, contact the exam conducing authorities if they find any error in the UGAT admit card. Having said that, UGAT exam conducting authorities reserve the right to modify, add or combine any test centre/s if required.
Eatable and drinks are not allowed inside the UGAT exam centre. But, candidates must carry their personal transparent water bottle to the exam centre and follow the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour at all times. Electronic gadgets including watches, mobile phones, calculators, smart devices, etc. are prohibited inside the UGAT exam centre. Candidates should carry recent passport size photograph, photo ID (original and photocopy) and UGAT admit card along with them to the exam centre.
