Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, and Technology is all set to conduct the SMEAT 2025 Round 1 Entrance Exam for admission into its Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program on April 19, 2025. Aspiring design students aiming for undergraduate admission at Srishti Manipal must appear for the Srishti Manipal Entrance and Aptitude Test (SMEAT) as part of the selection process.

Candidates who successfully complete Round 1 will be shortlisted for the subsequent selection rounds, which, depending on the program, may include interviews or portfolio reviews.

Q:   Will the SMEAT exam be conducted offline or online?

A:

The SMEAT 2025 exam will be conducted in an online mode at 10 cites across India. The exam will be conducted in multiple rounds. The exam for Round I for BDes was held on April 19, 2025 and the result will be out on April 30, 2025. The exam for Round II will be on May 12, 2025 and the results will be out on May 23, 2025.

Q:   When will SMEAT 2025 exam be conducted?

A:

The Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, & Technology will conduct the SMEAT 2025 exam around the 1st week of April 2025.

The SMEAT entrance exam is conducted in multiple rounds (THREE or more). The candidate has the option to apply in any of the admission rounds.

The application form for SMEAT 2025 is expected to open for Round I tentatively in the 2nd week of January 2025. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria may apply.

Q:   When will the NID DAT 2025 Prelims exam be conducted?

A:

The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the DAT Prelims exam on January 5, 2025.

The B.Des exam will be held from 10 am - 1 pm; meanwhile, the M.Des exam will be held from 10 am - 12.30 am.

The DAT Prelims for the B.Des programme will be conducted in a paper-and-pencil/pen mode. The question paper may  incude both textual and visual questions. Other details like duration of the exam, marking scheme, etc. will be published in the DAT Prelims admit card.

The candidate needs to report for the exam at 8 am. Gates closing time is 9.30 am. 

The DAT Prelims exam for the M.Des programme will be conducted offline and include a mix of objective and subjective questions. The paper will have a total of 100 questions.
