IIT Palakkad Summer Internship 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad has announced a six-week-long residential summer internship program designed to provide undergraduate and postgraduate students with hands-on research experience. The IIT Palakkad summer internship applications for the internship program will remain open until March 18, with the program scheduled to take place between May 21 and July 2025.
The IIT Palakkad summer internship program aims to equip participants with practical knowledge by offering training in both hardware and software analysis tools while exposing them to a diverse range of research domains.
Who are eligible for IIT Palakkad Summer Internship 2025?
The internship is open to both Indian and foreign nationals who meet the eligibility criteria. However, students currently enrolled at IIT Palakkad are not eligible to apply. Additionally, foreign nationals studying in Indian institutions will be considered at par with Indian applicants for this program.
Postgraduate students, including those in the 4th and 5th year of integrated master's programs in science, engineering, and humanities, are eligible to apply. Additionally, undergraduate students in their third or fourth year of engineering, technology, and science programs can also apply for the IIT Palakkad summer internship.
IIT Palakkad Summer Internship 2025 Application Process
Interested candidates must create an account on the official IIT Palakkad website using a valid email ID. A system-generated email will be sent with further instructions. If the email is not received, applicants should reach out to summer-internship@iitpkd.ac.in for assistance. The selection process will be based on academic performance, research aptitude, and the alignment of the applicant's interests with the available research areas.
All the selected candidates will receive financial support of INR 8,000 per month, amounting to a total of INR 12,000 for the entire duration of the program. Accommodation will be provided on a shared basis, but students will be responsible for covering hostel room rent and mess charges. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be awarded an internship certificate.
