UGC NET Day 1 Exam 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is holding the UGC NET 2025 June session exam today, June 25. Candidates appearing for UGC NET 2025 day 1 exam must bring a printed hall ticket and a valid ID proof to the exam hall, otherwise, they will not be allowed to take the exam. The UGC NET June 2025 exam will be conducted in CBT mode for 85 subjects, with two shifts: 9 am and 3 pm. The UGC NET, conducted twice a year by the NTA, evaluates the eligibility of Indian candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, and admission to PhD programs.
UGC NET 2025 June Day 1 Subject Schedule
Shift 1 (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM):

UGC NET June 2025 Day 2 Shift 2 (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM):

- Performing Art – Dance/Drama/Theatre
- Sanskrit
- Women Studies
- Library and Information Science

Checklist: What to Carry on UGC NET Exam Day
To ensure a smooth exam experience, candidates must bring the following:
- UGC NET Admit Card 2025: A printed copy downloaded from the official NTA website.
- Valid Photo ID Proof: Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, or any other government-issued ID (must match the name on the admit card).
- Passport-sized Photograph: Same as the one uploaded during application, to be affixed on the attendance sheet.
- Transparent Water Bottle (if allowed as per centre rules).
Items Prohibited at the Exam Centre
To maintain fairness and avoid malpractice, the following items are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall:
- Electronic gadgets: Mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, earphones, Bluetooth devices, fitness bands
- Stationery items: Pencil box, geometry box, written material, paper chits, books, notebooks
- Bags, wallets, handbags, purses
- Food items or snacks (unless medically necessary)
- Metallic objects and jewellery
- Any other personal belongings not listed as permissible
