In June 25 Shift 1, subjects for which exam is conducted are English, Chinese, Konkani, Spanish, Kashmiri and in Shift 2, History, Pali, Prakrit, Comparative Literature. The UGC NET 2026 Syllabus consists of two parts: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 has 50 multiple-choice questions, and Paper 2 has 100 subject-specific questions. UGC NET exam is considered to be moderate to difficult in the overall difficulty level as per the experts. The syllabus of the exam is vast and a bit challenging to cover for the candidates. It is important to understand the core concept of the subject while preparing for the UGC NET exam. Generally, around 6 months with dedicated hard work is sufficient to crack the UGC NET exam as per the experts. It is also recommended to study for around three to four hours daily. Consistent revision and practice is also plays an important role in the preparation journey.
The UGC NET exam consists of two papers namely Paper 1 and 2. Paper 1 is common for all the candidates which is based on teaching/research aptitude and Paper 2 is subject-specific and is based on the post graduate subject. In total 85 subjects are there namely history, geography, political science, etc.
To crack UGC NET in two months, you really need to work hard. that to in a right direction. The UGC NET June session exam will be conducted online in Computer-Based Test Mode. It will be held in two shifts. Shift 1 from 9 am to 12 pm and shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm.
