Common University Entrance Test or CUET UG is conducted for admission to central, state, private, deemed and government universities across India. Candidates preparing for CUET UG 2025 must check the updated CUET syllabus uploaded on the CUET 2025 official website- cuet.nta.nic.in.
CUET UG 2025 syllabus is based on class 12th NCERT curriculum. Candidates must prepare for the exam based on the class 12th syllabus only. NTA has released the CUET syllabus 2025 for 23 domain subjects, 13 languages and General Aptitude Test. THE CUET UG 2025 exam will be scheduled between May 08 and June 01, 2025.
Is CUET based on the Class 12th syllabus?
Yes, CUET UG 2025 syllabus is based on class 12th syllabus. Candidates can prepare for the CUET subjects they have opted as per the class 12th NCERT curriculum. The CUET question paper will assess the candidate’s general understanding of the subject. The question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates will be required to mark the correct answer from the four options.

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) result is released by National Testing Agency. CUET syllabus is divided into three sections viz., Languages, Domain Subject and General Test. CUET language section assesses candidate through reading comprehension (factual, literary, and narrative), literary aptitude and vocabulary. CUET syllabus second section- domain subject assesses the candidate's in depth knowledge on the subject he/she has opted for. No, class 11th subject syllabus is not included in CUET UG exam. Students who are preparing for CUET 2026 exam must focus on class 12th NCERT curriculum. NTA prescribes the CUET UG syllabus on its official website. Candidates must be familar the detailed syllabus mentioned on the NTA CUET official website- cuet.nta.nic.in. However, for better concepts clarity, candidates may refer to the class 11th resources.
