Non-MCQ questions are less than 20 per cent of the total number of questions in the JMI question paper. The non-MCQs are mostly from topics like National and International Political issues/ personalities, General Knowledge, Film, Television and other modes of media, Art, culture and literature.

To take admission in BA (Hons) Psychology candidates can appear for JMI entrance exam. Like the syllabus of many other subjects, the syllabus of BA (Hons) Psychology also consists of four subjects: Language Skills, General Awareness, Reasoning and Social Awareness. Candidates can prepare for Jamia entrance exam from various books available in the market. This paper will be of total 100 marks and candidates will be given 90 minutes to answer. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer, so candidates should avoid selecting any option if they are not sure about the correct answer. The sequence of JMI question paper is - Part A: Written Test (Objective/ MCQs) and Part B: Written Test (Subjective/ Descriptive/ Theory). Candidates will be able to give the descriptive paper only when the objective test is completed.

The syllabus of JMI Entrance Exam for admission in LLM course consist of various Law subjects such as Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Criminal Law, Family Law, Environmental Law, Corporate Law, Law of Contract, Law of Torts, International Law, Labour Law, Contemporary Legal Issues etc. The standard of questions will be based on LLB/BA LLB Hons course as per the Bar Council of India Rules. The paper is divided into three sections Part A, B and C. Multiple choice questions are asked in Part A and B, while Part C is based on descriptive questions. The questions asked in Part A are based on General Knowledge and English Language and in Part B questions are asked from legal subjects. The questions in descriptive part i.e. Part C will also be based on Law subjects.

The Jamila Milia entrance exam question paper is of 3 hours time duration. The written exam consists of two parts A & B. Part A consists of 20 marks and has MCQ type questions while the Part B is descriptive in nature and consist of 180 marks. Both the parts contribute to make the time duration of the question paper is of 3 hours duration.
