UGC NET 2025 January 7 Exam Analysis OUT: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the December session exam on January 7, 2026. It was the last day of an exam. It was conducted in two shifts. According to the schedule, in shift 1 (9 AM to 12 PM), Economics (incl. allied fields), Management, Public Administration, Population Studies, Linguistics, Buddhist/Jaina/Gandhian/Peace Studies, Pali, Ayurveda Biology papers is being conducted. Whereas in shift 2 (3 to 6 PM) of UGC NET 2025, these subjects are conducted Environmental Sciences, Home Science, Performing Arts (Dance/Drama/Theatre), Music, Electronic Science, Labour Welfare/HRM, Marathi, Physical Education. UGC NET 2025-26 January  7 Exam Analysis: Economics

The UGC NET Economics exam was Easy to Moderate as per the students' reactions. Across the units, questions were evenly distributed, focused on conceptual understanding, numerical interpretation and analytical ability. Growth and Development Economics, Micro Economics were considered scoring. International Economics was the most challenging unit as per the students.

Yes, as per the official notice released, the NTA will conduct the re-exam for three subjects on September 9 and 10. The UGC NET re-exam schedule is provided below:

English: September 9, 2026 Shift 1 - 9 AM to 12 Noon

The NTA released the UGC NET 2026 provisional answer key on the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. To download the answer key, candidates required application number, date of birth or password and security pin. The exam was condcuted from June 22 to June 30, 2026.
