SBI PO 2020 Notification released for 2,000 vacancies; applications to begin from Nov 14

SBI PO 2020 notification has been released on November 13. A total of 2,000 vacancies will be filled through the exam. The application form will be released on November 14. 

State Bank of India (SBI) has released SBI PO 2020 notification on November 13. The application form will be released on November 14. Interested candidates can apply for the exam till December 4. The preliminary exam will be conducted on December 31, 2020, January 2, 4 and 5, 2021. The mains exam will be conducted on January 29, 2021. The interview will be conducted in February/March 2021.

SBI PO Eligibility Criteria 2020

To apply for SBI PO exam, candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

• The age of candidates as on April 1, 2020, should be between 21 to 30 years
• Candidates must be a graduate from any discipline as on December 31, 2020
• Those who are in the final year/semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before December 31, 2020

What are the application fees?

Application fee is Rs 750 for General/ EWS/ OBC candidates. SC/ST/PWD candidates need not pay any application fees.

What is the selection process?

The selection for Probationary Officers will be done through a three-tier process as given below.

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination

Phase-II: Main Examination

Phase-III: In view of the social distancing and safety measures necessitated due to COVID-19 pandemic, the 3rd Phase may comprise of (i) Interview only (50 marks) or (ii) Interview (30 marks) & Group Exercises (20 marks)

Final selection will be done based on the performance in Phase II and III.

What is the salary?

Presently, the starting basic pay is Rs 27,620 (with four advance increments) in the scale of 23,700-980/7-30,560-1,145/2-32,850-13,10/7-42,020 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I.
