SSC MTS Age Limit and Eligibility 2025: The Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar exam notification mention all the important information about the eligibility criteria and age limit associated with each post. The Staff Selection Commission is expected to release the SSC MTS notification 2025 soon on its official website. The candidates must read the official notification to get all the details about the associated SSC MTS age limit and other eligibility conditions. The candidates should ensure that they fulfil all the SSC MTS eligibility conditions before filling out the SSC MTS applications 2025. The last date to apply for the SSC MTS exam 2025 will be July 24, 2025

The Commission will conduct the SSC MTS 2025 from September 20 to October 24, 2025. The candidates should note that the cutoff date for all the educational and other certificated required for the exam, will be the last date for SSC MTS application, that is July 24, 2025.. This is in consonance with the age cutoff date of UPSC. The SSC MTS 2025 notification will be released on June 26, 2025.

SSC MTS Educational Qualification Required

The candidates can see here the educational qualification required for the SSC MTS exam as mentioned in the official advertisement.

  • To apply online, the candidate must have passed the Matriculation exam or equivalent from a recognised board.
  • The candidates who have passed the matriculation in a distance learning mode/open university shall also be eligible for the exam.
  • The candidates who are appearing in the matriculation can also apply, but they need to get the certificate by the cutoff date. Each notification provides a cutoff date for the educational qualification.

SSC MTS Age Limit

The candidates must fall in a certain age group to apply for the SSC MTS exam 2025. The commission mentions the lower and upper age limit for the candidates. The SSC MTS age limit is defined as below:

Q:   What is the SSC new normalization formula?
A:

The Staff Selection Commission has introduced new SSC normalization formula for all the exams including- SSC CGL, CHSL, GD, MTS, JE, CPO, etc. This SSC normalization of marks formula is valid for exams notified from June 2025. Here is the SSC marks normalization formula:

Q:   Was the SSC MTS paper 2 qualifying?
A:

The candidates should note that the Staff Selection Commission has removed the SSC MTS paper 2 from the exam process and made changes in the SSC MTS exam pattern. The Commission revised the SSC MTS syllabus for paper 1 to accommodate such changes. The SSC MTS result is prepared based on the marks obtained in paper 1 and subjec to clearing the PET/PST.

The Commission also removed the Document Verification process from the recruitment process and now the document verification will be carried out at the indented department.

The SSC MTS paper 2 was qualifying only when it existed in the exam process.

The reservation to agniveers is not announced in SSC MTS and Havaldar exams.

The Commission also provided exemptions to the Persons with Disabilities to apply for SSC MTS and Havaldar posts. These exemptions are as follows:

SSC MTS Havaldar - Physical Requirement

The Commission prescribes the following physical requirements for the SSC MTS exam. The Commission conducts the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) after the Paper 2. The candidates who opted for the Havaldar post are required to appear for the Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Both the PET/PST and DME are conducted by a designated authority other than SSC. The Commission prescribes the following requirements for the SSC MTS PET/PST.

SSC MTS PST Requirement for Havaldar Post

The Commission prescribes separate height requirements for male and female candidates in the following manner:

For Male candidates:

157.5 cms. (relaxable by 5 Cms in the case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and members of Schedule Tribes) Unexpanded: 76 cms

For Female Candidates

The above requirements were amended by a Corrigendum later after the conduct of exam.

SSC MTS PET Requirement For Havaldar Post

The Commission mention the following requirement to be fulfilled by the candidates and it would be tested during the SSC MTS PET:

  Male Female
Walking 1600 meters in 15 minutes. 1 Km in 20 minutes
Cycling 8 Kms. in 30 minutes 3 Kms. in 25 minutes

Cycling is not applicable for the post of Havaldar in DGPM, CBIC.
The above conditions are expected to be changed and can be the reason behind the delay of notification.
