The UPSC personality test depends on various factors. Various candidates scored well in the interview but did not do well in the UPSC main (written) exam. Various candidates scored far above in interviews compared to the UPSC toppers, but because of the marks in the written exam, they ranked lower in the list.
UPSC cut off 2020 data shows that the minimum marks required to clear the IAS prelims exam were 92.5 for the General category candidates. It implies that in the IAS prelims 2020, the candidate who had 47 answers corrects out of 100. UPSC released the Civil Service Result 2020 on September 24.
The individual UPSC scorecard will be released soon and the candidates would be able to download their scorecard from the official website. The marks required to become an IAS officer differs each year and depends on the candidates who appeared and scored in the Civil Service Exam. UPSC IAS prelims 2021 will be conducted on October 10. The candidates who are ranked low in the list will be appearing in the exam to improve their rank.
