CUET UG Subjects 2026

According to the CUET UG 2026 Exam Pattern, there are 13 languages, 23 domain subjects, and one general aptitude test. Candidates have to select a total of five subjects [one compulsory language, three or four CUET domain subjects, and a general aptitude test (if required)] to get admission to UG courses at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University. Q:   How can I stay updated on CUET subject mapping changes?
A:

The subject mapping criteria consists of course-wise subjects required to be filled in the online form. Visit the official university's website or NTA CUET UG website at cuet.nta.nic.in to know about any changes in the CUET subject mapping. Ensure to check the latest and updated subject requirements while filling out the CUET application form.

 

Q:   Can I opt for several subjects in section II of CUET to apply for various courses?
A:

Yes, an CUET applicant can opt for one or more combinations of following:

  • Section I: Language Test
  • Section II: Domain subject test
  • Section III: General Aptitude Test

Candidates can opt up to a maximum of five subjects in order to apply to different applicable courses that require these subjects for being eligible for admissions.

Q:   When can I apply for the CUET exam?
A:

National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the CUET UG 2026 registrations at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates desirous of taking admission to University/college through CUET must fill the application form before the deadline. On the release of the CUET notification important dates for CUET 2026 will be announced. CUET 2025 application process will be in online mode. Candidates will be required to fill the application form, upload documents and pay the application fee in online mode only. CUET is a gateway to more tahn 250 universities across India for its UG courses.

BBAU CUET 2026 Subject Mapping: Important Instructions

To gain admission at BBAU through CUET for the academic year 2026-27, candidates have to fill the CUET 2026 Application Form with all the required details, including personal details, educational details, and choice of test papers. While completing the application form, candidates must keep the following points in mind to avoid any problems in the future:

  • Review specific subject requirements of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University for the desired programme before selecting subjects.
  • Ensure you pick subjects that align with your preferred course and university, and for which you are confident in giving the exam.
  • Choose an appropriate language as part of the language section.
  • Select the subjects based on the target university’s CUET Eligibility Criteria.
Q:   How do I select the domain subjects for CUET UG?
A:

Before selecting the test or domain subjects, candidates are advised to visit the official website of university/organaisation they wish to apply for. Candidates must check the courses offered and eligibility test that they should appear in for admission to desired course. The choice of language/domain subject and General test will depend upon the course and university. Candidates will be able to opt for one or more tests as per the requirement of the course and university from the following sections:

  • Section I - 13 Languages
  • Section II - 23 Domain Specific Subjects
  • Section III - General Test
Q:   What is programme specific eligibility criteria in CUET?
A:

For admission to the desirous University/Institution, the candidates must appear in CUET 2026 in the Languages and Domain Specific subjects as per the Program-Specific Eligibility for which s (he) is desirous to take admission. For instance, if a candidate wishes to apply for B.Com (Hons.) programe in Delhi University he/she will be required to make the subject combination as :

Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Mathematics/Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1
OR
Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Accountancy/Book Keeping + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1

Candidates are advised to check CUET programme-specific eligibility criteria before filling the application form, failing which they will not qualify for further admission process. 

Q:   How many subjects can I choose for the CUET exam?
A:

From CUET UG 2026 onwards, candidates can now choose for five CUET subjects. Earlier, the subject choices were six. With the rediuction in number of CUET subjects, the choices have been reduced. Candidates can opt for five subjects from 23 domain subjects of any stream irrespective of subjects studied in class 12th.

No, SMEF'S BRICK Group of Institutes is not under CUET. The college accepts scores of certain other entrance exams such as- NATA, JEE Main Paper 2, MAH CET etc. Candidates must appear for these exams for admission in the courses and CUET is not required.
