Q. Tell us about your family and educational background.

A. My father is a civil servant, my mother is a lecturer at college, and my sister is pursuing her MBA degree. I have completed my senior secondary education at Mothers Public School, Bhubaneswar, in the Humanities stream with English, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Physical Education as my subjects.

Q. When did you start preparing for CUET Exam? What all books did you refer to?

A. I started preparing for CUET Exam 2022 after my boards. Since the syllabi of the boards and the CUET were almost the same and we had appeared in the first term exams in the MCQ format, I had some rough ideas on how to go about with the preparation. As for the books, NCERTs are the main ones. Besides, I also referred to Oswaal and Arihant for test papers. Reading newspapers helped me in the language domain. YouTube videos were also quite a help in my preparation.

Q. How much time did you devote to self-study? What do you feel is better, coaching or self-study?

A. I started preparing after my 12th board exams and preferred self-study; I did not opt for any coaching. Since questions in the CUET exam stick to the syllabus, I feel the NCERT books and free online study material available are good enough. So self-study will suffice.

Q. When it came to exam day, what was your strategy? According to you, what was the toughest and easiest section?

A. On exam day, I feel it's very important to stay calm.  Sometimes the computer at the exam center may not work properly, but we should not panic as it increases our chances to make silly mistakes. After completing the paper, I rechecked my answers twice.

A. Being born and brought up in a joint family, my family has always played an important role in my life. I attribute my successful CUET journey to my family,  my teacher Chitra maam , and my friends.
For the CUET 2023 aspirants,  I would like to suggest they value more qualitative studying, wisely exploit the powerful reservoir of knowledge, i.e., the Internet and CUET-related channels on YouTube to access the free material, take the mock tests by NTA and remember that the key to success lies in NCERT books.
