CUET 3 Month Preparation Strategy

NTA will conduct CUET from May 11, 2026, in CBT mode. The exact CUET exam dates will be announced on official website – cuet.nta.nic.in. Check below for month-wise study plan that students can apply for CUET preparation 2026.

CUET UG Preparation 2026 – Month 1

  • Students must start with understanding the structure of CUET question paper for each section – Language, Domain Specific and General Aptitude Test.
  • There are 37 UG subjects in CUET, from which candidates have to select maximum 5 subjects in CUET online form. Candidates must download their syllabus PDF and analyze topics to be covered in exam.
  • After analyzing syllabus, they must gather books and other study material, including CUET mock tests and previous year paper from which they can understand topics and prepare for exam.
  • Now, divide the entire syllabus into manageable chunks and allot study time for each section and day. Initially, focus on understanding the fundamental concepts of core subjects.
  • For English and GK, focus on grammar, language skills, vocabulary, read newspapers & editorials, and learn about current affairs and important events around the world.

CUET UG Preparation 2026 – Month 2

  • Once a candidate has studied basic concepts of their selected subject’s syllabus, they must start practicing from CUET previous year question papers. This will help them understand the question paper pattern.
  • While solving past papers, identify topics and questions that repeat every year. Focus on these topics, as they have higher weightage and can help score well.
  • Along with previous papers, solve exercise and practice questions from NCERT and exam preparation books. Revise important formulas, chemical reactions, basic concepts, theories, statements and formats Create formula sheets.
  • For GAT section, practice Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning and Numerical Ability questions daily to increase speed and efficiency.
  • Time is of the essence in this entrance exam. If a candidate is unable to complete their test on time, knowing the answer to each question won’t be of any use. So, candidates must work on their speed and develop time management strategies.
  • After solving mock tests, candidates must analyze their answers and determine weak areas to work on.

CUET UG Preparation 2026 – Month 3

  • Students must leave the last month for only revising topics and practicing mock tests.
  • Revise topics and concepts from formula sheets and short notes, if created.
  • Give more focus to high-weightage topics only. Do not start anything new to avoid getting anxious.
  • Solve mock tests in exam-like condition to analyze mistakes.
  • Focus on minimizing negative marking, as it can impact CUET total marks.
  • Take short breaks and relax mind. Try to stay positive and calm.
