IIT JAM 2019 Question Papers: Know what to expect
IIT JAM 2019 is all set to be conducted by IIT Kharagpur on February 10. The all-India level entrance exam is a gateway for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of technology (IITs) in MSc and other post-bachelor courses.
With just less than six months remaining for the exam it is imperative for aspirants to pace up their IIT JAM preparation. One of the best ways to speed up JAM preparation is by giving as many mock tests as possible and solving sample as well as past year question papers. Attempting different papers is important in many aspects. One, it gives candidates look and feel of the actual paper. Two, candidates get an idea of the important topics that usually come in the exam. Three, candidates get an understanding of how they need to manage time, speed and accuracy together.
IIT JAM 2019 question paper is expected to be similar like previous year papers with no change in the exam pattern or syllabus. Let’s look at IIT JAM 2019 exam pattern to get an understanding of what will JAM 2019 paper be like.
First of all, candidates should be aware that IIT JAM is conducted in a total of seven Science subjects mentioned below:

IIT JAM question paper pattern is such that there are a total of 60 questions in the exam that candidates need to complete in a duration of three hours. Maximum marks that candidates can score in the exam are 100. The exam is conducted in online mode and in English medium only.
The question paper is divided into three sections – A (MCQs - Multiple Choice Questions), B (MSQs - Multiple Select Questions) and C (NAT - Numerical Answer Type). Description of each section is as mentioned below:
- MCQs: Each question has four choices with one correct answer.
- MSQs: Each question has four choices with one or more correct answers.
- NAT: The answer for each question is a signed real number. No choices are shown for these questions.
