4. Refrain from studying fresh topics: Starting off with a fresh topic will cut down your revision hours and may also create confusion. 5. Set yourself a timer and do an exam rehearsal: Find yourself in a peaceful place and start attempting any mock test or a sample paper. Set yourself a timer of three hours and try to complete the test within the prescribed limit. Attempt as many questions as you can with the utmost accuracy. Doing such exam rehearsal will help you test your speed and accuracy.

6. Don't waste time: If you can manage your time well, you will even have an ample amount of time to work on your weak areas. Do not indulge yourself in watching television or plan a day out with friends as every minute counts from here onward. Prepare a small pocket notebook and note down important formulas, definitions, graphs, diagrams, etc. and carry it along wherever you go.

7. Stay ready with IIT JAM Admit card along with necessary documents: Take out the hard copy of the admit card of IIT JAM on an A4 size sheet. Along with the admit card, you also need to carry the following documents:

  • Two passport size photographs
  • An original copy of photo identity proof (preferably Aadhar card/ PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID)
  • Travel pass issued by IIT Guwahati

8. Stay in good shape and avoid junk food: It is often said that ‘A healthy mind resides in a healthy body, which in fact is possibly the most crucial factor that helps you maximise your performance. Students must meditate and do light exercises to stay in good shape. They should also refrain from eating junk food as a single ailment can ruin your chances of putting in your best efforts.
