IIT JAM cutoff is the minimum marks a candidate need to be eligible for admission counselling. Marks above the cutoff will help to gain a good rank. IIT JAM 2026 Expected Cutoff
IIT Bombay has released the IIT JAM cutoff 2026 online. The cutoff for IIT JAM 2026 is updated on this page after the release. Candidates can check the IIT JAM cutoff to know the minimum qualifying marks for each test paper. The cutoff marks vary for each test paper and category of students. JAM 2026 qualifying cutoff marks and admission cutoff are different. Scoring above or equal to IIT JAM 2026 cutoff doesn't guarantee admission to the participating institutes.
There will be a separate admission cutoff released after each round of IIT JAM counselling 2026. The counselling is conducted online. There are around 3000 seats in postgraduate programmes at 21 IITs for the academic year 2026-27. Admissions are based on JAM 2026 scores, subject to satisfying the ERs and MEQs and any other requirements, without any additional interview or written test.
JAM scores are used for admission to over 2000 seats for postgraduate programmes such as M.Sc. and M.A. at IISc and various NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET, DIAT through Centralized Counselling for M.Sc / M.Sc. (Tech.) Admission (CCMN).
IIT JAM 2026 cutoff for IIT Kharagpur will released after each round of counselling process. Last year, IIT Kharagpur offered admission to Joint M.Sc PhD courses to JAM rank between 11 to 6700. GEN category students had to obtained JAM rank between 11 to 528 for admission.
