IIT JAM 2024 Exam Analysis
IIT JAM 2024 was conducted on February 11, 2024, by IIT Madras in two slots. The morning session began at 9:30 AM and concluded at 12.30 PM. The IIT JAM 2024 afternoon session was held from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM. In the second slot, the exam of four subjects, Biotechnology, Mathematical Statistics, Physics and Economics will be conducted. Candidates who appeared in the IIT JAM 2024 Exam for 7 MSc courses found the exam moderate. Questions were designed in such a manner to test their analytical and practical approach of the concerned subject. The maximum number of candidates who have appeared in the IIT JAM 2024 exam had their first attempt in the examination. Being their first attempt, the difficulty level of the IIT JAM 2024 exam was found to be moderately easy.
IIT JAM 2024 Shift 2 Exam Analysis
Khushi: IIT JAM 2024 Biotechnology exam difficulty level was moderate. In biology, questions from Immunology, Genetics, Recombinant DNA Technology topics were asked. In sections, i.e., NAT, both from physics and mathematics questions were asked. Sections A and B were comparatively easier than Section C.
Sudarshan: IIT JAM Economics subject exam difficulty level was easier than last year. Some direct questions were asked from liquidity preference money supply and few were asked from consumer and supplier chain products.
Economics: The exam difficulty level as compared to the previous year was easy, however, the questions that came this year were quite lengthy. NAT-type questions took longer time to solve. In macroeconomics, ISLM had the maximum weightage and many questions were on matrices. The IIT JAM 2024 Economics cut off will be higher than last year cut off.
Memory Based Questions: Two questions were on the producer and consumer surplus graph (standard supply-demand graph). Candidates were need to find the value of the surplus and change in the surplus.

IIT JAM 2024 Shift 1 Analysis
Chemistry: The difficulty level of the Chemistry section was considered to be easy to moderate. The questions were on the expected lines. The majority of the questions appeared from the topics of Atoms & Molecules, Analytical Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, etc. Some of the questions were lengthy and calculation-intensive.
