Candidates should attain at least 50 percent marks in graduation or post-graduation in Science/Social Science/Commerce/Humanities to apply for the exam. There is also a relaxation of five percent marks provided to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Other Backward Class (OBC) – non-creamy layer/ Persons with Disability (PwD) categories.
