- Candidates must complete their Class 12 from the Science stream and must have secured an aggregate of 45% (for general courses) to 50% (honours courses). Moreover, Candidates from reserved categories (Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe) must have a minimum of 40% aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the Class 12 examination to be eligible for an Honours course.
- Aggregate marks for admissions to BSc at Calcutta University are calculated according to the top four subjects.
- No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 5 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
