MBA in Banking & Financial Engineering - Batch of 2024
4.4
5Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
The infrastructure at my college is one of the best.
Placements: Students of MBA can apply for placements from day 1 of their course, as companies start to come from day 1, whether for internships or direct placement offers. There have been 30+ companies that visited in my 1st year of MBA, and lots of offers have been made. The average package is around 6 to 7 LPA, and the highest MBA package has been around 30 LPA. Although I am not sure, about 60% of the students get placed.
Infrastructure: There are three types of hostel rooms: one is four-seater non-AC, five-seater AC, and five-seater non-AC. The basic price difference in all hostels is 10,000, starting with Rs 100,000, then 120,000, and then 136,000. The faculty members do not check your room regularly, but if they find an open kettle, there is a chance they can take your kettle and never give it back, however, this did not happen to me. My warden is very friendly and allows kettles inside the hostel. The hostel is around 9 to 12 floors.
Faculty: The course is good, MBA, because I want a job in a bank, so I am doing MBA with finance. The teachers have good knowledge and give others and solve doubts easily. In the university, the staff is full of knowledge and respect for all the students. The teachers give their best to help others understand. They are very good teachers.

M.Sc. in Botany - Batch of 2023

5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
M.Sc. Botany at Chandigarh University about education, environment, and experience.
Placements: CU had a 70-80%. Overall placement rate for M.Sc Botany placements were medium. It was 40 to 60%. Many students were opting higher studies. The highest package was 8 LPA. The average package was 5 LPA. The lowest package was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies ICAR, CSIR, and government bodies. Pharmaceutical firms such as Biocon, Syngene, and Panacea Biotec. Internships included CSIR, ICAR, TERI, and WWF India. Top roles in Research Analyst, Plant Taxonomist, and Environment Consultant.
Infrastructure: High-speed Wi-Fi was available across academic blocks and hostels. Advanced research laboratories were equipped for plant tissue culture, cytogenetics, and mycology. Smart classrooms were equipped with projectors and digital boards. Separate AC and non-AC rooms were provided for boys’ and girls’ hostels. Free internet was available across hostel rooms and common areas. 24/7 electricity was provided with backup support.
Faculty: Professors in the Department of Biosciences typically held a Ph.D. in Botany. It covered plant tissue culture, ecology, physiology, and taxonomy. CU encouraged interdisciplinary research collaborations, enhancing employability. Semester exams were moderate. The passing percentage was generally above 85%.
Other: I was passionate about plant sciences, biodiversity, and ecological sustainability. Events included CU Fest, Freshmen 2.0, and Aaghaaz. The surroundings and infrastructure were the best.

Good opportunities if you work hard. You have to study on your own. Hostel food is bad.
Placements: If you are in a good batch like Kargil, then you get good placement opportunities, such as even a package of 30 LPA. This semester, Adobe is offering a package of 31 LPA. The opportunities outside of this batch, however, are very bleak. If you are a good student, then you will get opportunities for 11–12 LPA. Otherwise, 2–3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library are good. Wi-Fi issues happen sometimes, but mostly it has good speed. Labs are great, though some computers are outdated. The rest of facilities are still top grade. The library has ample books and is easy to access for everyone.
Faculty: Faculty is very bad. I mean, if you are lucky, you get good teachers. But mostly, teachers know nothing about the subject they are teaching. They teach through PPT on LMS. Some teachers are very good, but there are equally bad teachers, too. This is entirely dependent on your luck.

Satisfied with Chandigarh University as ample opportunities are there for those who want to do big.
Placements: If I talk about CSE-General, there are 3 batches, TPP, Kargil, and Non-TPP. Non-TPP students do not get placements, while approximately 80-90% of students from the TPP and Kargil batches get offers to be placed. The highest international package, according to me, is 1.5 or 1.6 CPA, and in India, it is 60 LPA, whereas the average package lies between 4-8 LPA, and the lowest ranges from 2.2 to 4 LPA, with top recruiting companies including Microsoft, IBM, Infosys, Adobe, etc. Almost all students get internships, some in companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, and some in small startups. The roles offered are in IT, software engineers, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are nice from outside, but from inside, only the South campus is best; otherwise, other blocks are average. ACs in some rooms are leaking, and projectors in a few classes are not working. Almost every block has Wi-Fi for both students and teachers. Labs are well constructed, but sometimes internet issues disturb students during exams. Libraries are very nice; almost all important books from inside and outside the curriculum are available there. If I talk about the hostel, the fees are a bit high, but almost all medical facilities, canteen, sports, and everything else are there, though a bit of strictness also exists.
Faculty: The majority of faculty in Chandigarh University are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, many have even left their corporate life for teaching purposes; the way of teaching is very nice by many teachers except those who only come and read out the PPTs, the curriculum is very relevant to industrial preparation, and relevant questions are provided to us on our official email IDs, the end semester exams are of medium difficulty, neither too hard nor too easy, with no percentage grading, and passing or failing depends on relative grading.
Other: I chose this course as it was firstly trending, and secondly, I had some interest in computers from 11th-12th only, the best thing about the course is the syllabus, which makes us industry-ready and is updated every year to match industry standards; there should be a decrease in written work, which are just formalities like assignments, case studies, etc., CU is full of events, fests, and extracurricular activities, with some event happening every day and a very high crowd, scholarships are also provided depending upon the CUCET exam given prior to the 1st year.

Chandigarh University is a decent place if you work hard.
Placements: They provide ample opportunities, as a lot of companies come, but you need to work on your own to grab them. Overall, a decent college if study well, then they provide you with great opportunities, and the sky is the limit, but otherwise you will feel that you wasted your time and the college is bad, but I believe the college is at par with most colleges that provide opportunities.
Infrastructure: Great facilities overall, some buildings might be old, but overall decent hostel. The mess food is iffy, sometimes good, sometimes not edible, but this is how it is with most places overall, they provide all the major facilities and a great experience.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are approachable, clear in explaining concepts, and conduct doubt sessions, etc. The university uses relatively modern teaching methods, labs/projects, presentations, etc., rather than only rote lectures.

Looking for the best university, here it is.
Placements: A good number of companies visit the campus for placement. Last year, around 350 companies for the CSE alone came here. The highest package is 1 crore per annum in the international one, and the domestic one is 55 LPA, while the lowest is 3 LPA. Also, the internship starts from the 5th semester.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good, very clean with attached washrooms and a 4-seater room. It has 4 beds, 4 tables, chairs, AC, good water supply, and an electricity supply. Mess food is quite average, and the total fee is Rs. 92000. You can enjoy the events, and for sports, there is everything in it basketball, badminton, swimming, and many more. The classrooms have a projector.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified. The teachers use the content provided on the LMS of the college along with the PPT. There is relatively strict marking in the college. 75% attendance is mandatory. The pass percentage is around 80%-85%.
