Placements: Hansraj College of UOD is known for some very good placement options in different sectors. The best recruiters include Bain, D.E. Shaw, Big 4, GT, etc. It recruits students from sectors like consulting, finance, accountancy, audit, and HR as well. It has a good average and median salary.
Infrastructure: It has excellent infrastructure with well-equipped classrooms, labs, washrooms, etc. It is one of the colleges in DU that has AC in every room. The campus also provides good infrastructure for sports and ECA. It includes sports such as football, basketball, badminton, etc.
Faculty: Faculty is highly qualified and knowledgeable. They have good teaching quality and a focus on concept understanding. The curriculum is well-structured and more focused on real-life applications. Teachers themselves are very experienced with a good background.
Other: It is the second-best college for B.Com (Hons) at University of Delhi. It has good teachers, a good campus, good placements, and overall a good college with good people in it.

    Really good infrastructure and placements.
Placements: The average package is approximately 9 LPA. The highest package is 25 LPA. Major hiring is made for consulting and finance. Top recruiters include Bain, D.E. Shaw, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Accenture, Deloitte, etc. The placement cell of the college works quite actively.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good. The college has air-conditioned classrooms along with various labs. The canteen provides good food at affordable prices. Hostels for boys and girls are being constructed. There is a badminton hall with table tennis tables. The sports ground has facilities for playing volleyball, basketball, and football. The most famous part of the college is the LP Area.
Faculty: Faculty is knowledgeable and qualified. However, the course curriculum is not very relevant for current needs. It provides only a basic education and requires quite a few more skills, as well as certificate courses, to actually get students industry-ready. Semester exam results are generally good.

Good infrastructure, connectivity, and cultural alignment.
Placements: 60–70% of students get placements in our college. The average package is approximately 8 LPA for a B.Com (Hons) graduate, and last year the highest package offered was 22 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Bain, Accenture, and Deloitte. The top role offered is Junior/Associate Consultant.
Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure. There is a fully air-conditioned library with Wi-Fi facility as well, which remains open until 5 pm every day. There are adequate labs, at least one for each science field department. All classes also have AC and are very well maintained.
Faculty: Faculty is very helpful and knowledgeable. They guide and support us at every step, especially during term papers, research paper work, etc. The curriculum, though, is a little outdated and needs serious revision to bring it up to par with industry standards and incorporate the practical skills expected of students. The semester exams are moderate. The passing percentage in theory papers is 40%.
Other: B.Com (Hons) is one of the most preferred courses due to its high placement rates. DU is particularly known for it. The fest was conducted earlier this year in April, so I would say the campus remains very lively during the semester. Connectivity is also a plus point about our college.

Satisfied with the college because of faculty and placement.
Placements: The percentage of placements in my college is okay. Students with skills get placement offers from the college. The highest package offered by my college is around 23 LPA, with an average package of 5–6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, KPMG India, PwC India, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure facilities are above average compared to other Delhi universities, with classrooms, labs, and a library. However, there are no hostel facilities in the college. It also offers a girls' common room, medical room, sports activity rooms, and computer labs.
Faculty: In my course, exams are not very difficult and can be easily passed, but teachers are very strict in the exam hall. The curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry. The pass percentage is also good, and students can easily pass. The education provided by teachers is also good.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in this field. The best thing about my course is that it provides knowledge about commerce and provides a deep understanding of the subject.

    College running on brand name.
Placements: I am unaware of the placements at the college, but as far as I know, the highest package was 32 LPA, and the mean package was 11 LPA. The lowest package is unknown to me, and the number of students placed is also unknown to me. The companies that came for placements were Deloitte, Accenture, KPMG, etc.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure from the outside is really aesthetic, but from inside, the classrooms are a bit concerning. The desks are old, with unnecessary things written on them, and the projectors don't work. The boards installed are also a bit old. The Wi-Fi doesn't work properly. The food quality in the mess and canteen is also not very good.
Faculty: The college teachers are very professional in their work. They teach really well, but most of the teachers are more of the chill type. They don't care about the syllabus or teaching. They just come, take attendance, and move on. They also mostly cancel classes before class time.

Here's my answer based on the given reviews:

    1. The college's infrastructure is considered reasonable and adequate, with some reviewers mentioning that it is neither too good nor too bad.
    2. Some reviewers praise the comfort and quality of the seats, as well as the availability of air conditioned classrooms and labs.

    6. Medical facilities and hostels are also available and the college hosts annual sports events and inter-college competitions.

    A:

Candidates desirous of taking admission to any of the undergraduate courses offered by the University of Delhi, such as BA/BA (Hons), BSc/ BSc (Hons) and BCom/ BCom (Hons), under the supernumerary quota (ECA and/or Sports) must appear in CUET (UG) exam. For final admissions to ECA and sports supernumerary seats, however, depends on two factors. These are as follows:

    • 25% weightage is aligned to CUET scores
    • 75% weightage is aligned to certificates/ trials/ performances

Q:   What is the application fee for BCom (Hons) at DU?
    A:

    A. The aspirants of BCom and BCom (Hons) are required to apply for CUET UG before registering on the DU portal. After registration for the exam, students must pay the registration fee which is as follows:

    Category

    CUET Application Fee

    General

     INR 650

    OBC-NCL and EWS

    INR 600

    SC/ ST/ PwD/ Third Gender

    INR 550

    Outside India

    INR 3,000

Candidates also have to pay an additional application fee which is charged on account of DU CSAS registration after the result for CUET UG is out. It is INR 250 for General category students and INR 100 for SC/ST/PWD/EWS. In addition, there is a cancellation fee of INR 1000 for students who wish to cancel their enrolment.

Q:   Can I take admission for BCom at DU with 83 per cent?
    A:
For admission in Delhi University for BCom, candidates have to follow the process laid down by the University which is to register for the CUET. Delhi University accept applications for UG programmes based on CUET (Common University Entrance Test) and final admission depends on the previous Class 12 scores and the score obtained by students in CUET.
After the exam, candidates must register on CSAS portal of DU. The portal will ask about the top 10 colleges you prefer. Then the CUET scores are required to be uploaded online and the portal will show you the college that you are allotted by the university.
Now, while the process of the university has changed, the competitiveness of the colleges allocated to the students under DU have not. Hence, it can  be considered that getting into a BCom college under DU for a General category student with 83 percent will be equally tough in 2024 as it was earlier. However, students with excellent CUET scores might stand a chance.

    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. Some of the colleges under DU are SRCC, Kirori Mal College, LSR, Hansraj College, Hindu College, Gargi, Sri Venkateshwara College and Miranda House among others. Recognised by UGC as the 'Institute of Excellence', Delhi University is listed among the most prestigious educational institutions in India. The entrance exams accepted by the university include CUET DUET and DU LL.B. Entrance Test among others.
