They are spacious. The food served in the canteen is good. The hostel is average. The old hostels are average. The new hostels are very good.
Faculty: All teachers are well-qualified. They are Ph.D. holders. The teaching quality is up to the mark. You have to study by yourself. Some teachers are good. Some professors are authors. Their books are recommended for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Absolutely satisfied with Fests here, satisfying campus life, great placements.
Placements: There are alot of courses in both tech and core fields like CS IT, SE (Software engineering), MAC (mathematics and computing), Mechanical, Civil, biotech, Chemical engineering, and some more. I am of SE branch and its my first year here, till date I am very happy to take decision to get into DTU even though I am getting chance to take into top NIT but I have to compromise on branch so I took here only with a good tech branch. About packages:- the highest package- 1cr+ (international) And 45lpa+ (domestic) Avg package- 12lpa.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of DTU is quite amazing. Labs are well maintained and all items necessary during experiments are always present. Wi-Fi facility is also more than better, you will get Wi-Fi connection in almost 80% of Dtu land. Classrooms for first year are newly builded with projector facility, also senior year classrooms are well builded. Library is well maintained both in clealiness and book support, you don't need to buy books coz you got mostly books in dtu itself to borrow for free. Hostels are triple sharing for first year students and double sharing for 2nd and 3rd year and single room available for 4th year student ofcourse because of privacy. But Delhi students don't get hostels that's why I gave them 4star.
Faculty: Many teachers are helpful and supportive but obviously everyone you will not get amazing so yes there are teachers who have a great knowledge of their subject but not that much supportive. Course curriculum is revelent upto 80% and rest is not because of students mass bunk or private leave, but if you will get full class with less leaves than ofcourse course will be completed by teacher. First year semester exams are really difficult for those who are here with high ranks (more than 75k) because many concepts students got forget and due to which they face difficulty in understanding new concepts or concepts with higher knowledge, Also first year semester exams are tough for the latest students because of less time allotment in college due to late JEE exams.
Other: I chose this course because I am getting this only as per my rank, but there is no difference actually in this course and CS/it, so I am having full opportunity of getting into any tech field job. Thing I wish to get better in this and any course is that Maths chem and Physics which are 12th related should be removed and from first year itself we should be taught subjects of our course only. Now talking about fest, societies, and campus life Fests are quite amazing in dtu, one after another fest are going on here every month. Also the engifest that is north-India's the biggest fest which included guest like siddhu moosewala are just awesome. Societies are here in bulk, you will get into atleast one at the end.

Review of DTU - Delhi Technological University.
Placements: Placements of our college are the key attraction of it. The average salary package offered is 10 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 60 LPA domestic. Around 500 companies visit our college every year. My plans after getting a degree are to do a well-paid job as a software engineer. Anybody from the science stream is eligible for taking admission in this college through JEE mains who have more than 60% marks on 12th boards. Students can find the application form on the official site of JAC.
Infrastructure: The food served in the canteen and mess is good and affordable. The campus is well-equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and laboratories. It provides a central library with several high-quality books. This college has great Wi-Fi, decent quality laboratories, and beautiful classrooms. Sports facilities are top-notch with football ground, cricket ground, gymnasium, volleyball, kabaddi, basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis, squash, badminton, etc. Our college is huge and greenery, which looks beautiful. The infrastructure can be improved. The hostel facility should be increased and steps should be taken to make it compulsory like IITs.
Faculty: Teachers are good including experienced professors to contracted teachers all are giving their best to give students knowledge. Some new faculty members are not good, however, regular classes, assignments, and high-quality laboratory ensure a premium educational experience. The course curriculum is made accordingly so that it will help students to understand the subject and do great things in the corporate world. Students may find young teachers in the first year, afterward, there are all old teachers with no technical knowledge and cannot help students with industry-level knowledge.
Other: This college conducts the best fest in India i.e Engifest.

Our faculty members are too good at their subjects.
Placements: There are lots of chances of getting placements in your desired field. Lots of companies of different fields visit the campus for placements. Even the lateral entry students have the chance to get placed without any distraction or disturbance.
Infrastructure: The campus has separate buildings for different streams. You can roam around the campus without any hesitation. There is no restriction for visitors. You can come to visit the campus, and you will be surprised after the visit. The campus has many buildings. The campus is clean.
Faculty: Our faculty members are too good at teaching their subjects. They also help you with your personal problems. You can ask them your doubts at any time without hesitation, inside the class or outside the class. They will surely clear your doubts. The course curriculum is well designed and organised. It has different sections and concepts so that we can study easily.

Other: It is a 160 acres huge campus. It's an air conditioned campus, which means no sweating in summers. The placements of the college are surprisingly good. There is no ragging in the college. There are so many tech and non-tech societies in the college with the help of which students can get a good exposure in many fields. The people here are amazing. It's worth your lifetime. I love to be here and spend time with my friends. The college ranking is so high that anyone would love to come here regardless of the things that are not provided. What needs to be changed is the faculty, which is not worthy enough.

Q:   Is DTU equal to IIT?
A:

Delhi Technological University DTU has received 30th position under the engineering category & 62nd under the Overall category by NIRF 2025. Colleges like IIT Ropar stands below this university. Hence, DTU is better than many new IITs but still stands below the top IITs such as IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, and IIT Kanpur.

AskShikshaGPT on App
Q:   Is DTU better than an IIT?
A:

DTU's BTech in Civil Engineering course has been rated 4.2/5 by 95 Shiksha verified students, while the same course at IIT Delhi has been rated 4.6/5 by 41 students at Shiksha. Also, as per the NIRF 2024 Rankings, Delhi Technological University has been ranked 27 under the 'Engineering' category, however, there are many IITs that are ranked before DTU in the same category. But, despite that, DTU competes against the top-notch NITs and second-phase IITs in streams such as Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mathematics and Computing. Hence, it is safe to say that DTU is as good as a second-phase IIT or an NIT.

Q:   Can I get into DTU without giving JEE?
A:

No, candidates cannot get admission to DTU without appearing for JEE Main as the DTU BTech counselling is done through JAC Delhi. The basic criteria for admission to BTech is appearing for JEE Mains. To get into DTU, candidates must score decent marks or at least around 220 or above marks in JEE Mains. The only way to get into DTU without appearing for JEE Main is by taking a lateral entry admission to BTech second year. In order to do this, candidates must complete a Polytechnic course of two years and then appear for an entrance exam (not JEE Main but this exam will give you entry in DTU's second year.
