- The JEE Main 2026 session 2 registration window is now live for the B.E. / B.Tech course. The last date to register for the same is set as Feb 25, 2026. Further, the exam for the same is going to be held from Apr 2 to Apr 9, 2026.
- The IPU CET 2026 registration process is ongoing for admission to the BE/BTech course, with the last date set as Mar 31, 2026. The IPU CET exam 2026 is going to be held from Apr 25, 2026, to May 17, 2026.
IPU BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
IP University or IPU BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. The UG-level course is offered across different specialisations, including CSE, AI Machine Learning, etc. It is offered by the IP University and its affiliated colleges. Admission to the programme is based on JEE Main Paper 1 score for all specialisations except Biotechnology. For Biotechnology, a candidate has to appear for IPU CET or CUET.

Eligibility Criteria: Class 12 from CBSE with Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% provided that the candidate has passed each subject separately, and English (core or elective or functional) should be a mandatory subject.

The 2024 cutoff ranks for BTech +M.Techin Information Technology at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University other than the General category are - 198167 for SC, 346824 for ST and 45444 for EWS. The cutoff trend for BTech at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has been decreasing in the recent years. Indraprastha University BTech admission is done on the basis of a valid score of JEE Main. In the case of GGSIPU admission to B Tech in Biotechnology, a candidate must take up IPU CET or CUET. The flagship programme of the university is the BTech course that is distributed over the course of four years and has eight semesters. The IPU BTech course selection is done by a centralised counselling of the course. Admission to other UG programs as BSc, BCA, BCom (Hons), B.Ed, BA (JMC), BHMCT, BBA, BA (Hons) and BVoc among others is also done on the basis of a valid IPU CET score, which is administered by the University.
Admissions to BTech + MTech are based on the marks secured in the JEE Main entrance exam. As per the latest cutoff ranks available for BTech +MTech in Chemical Engineering, the general category ranks are 81426 for OBC, 224720 for SC, 390021 for ST, and 101883 for EWS. IPU BTech course admission is based on an entrance exam, such as JEE Main/CUET/IPU CET. First, you must meet the eligibility criteria. The PU CET admission process is completely online.

Step 2: Shortlisting

To get IPU (main campus- USLLS and VIPS) you need to have a total score of atleast 470 out of 650. And admission in IPU through cuet happens only after the CLAT rounds are over, so you must wait till the spot rounds.
