GGSIPU BTech Highlights 2026
BTech at GGSIPU is a four-year, UG-level engineering course that is offered in full-time mode only. IP University BTech admissions are offered across many specialisations by its affiliated institutes. Candidates seeking admission can apply online via national-level entrance exams, including JEE Main/ CUET/ IPU CET. Some of the key highlights related to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University admissions to the BTech course are given below:
- Selection process: BTech admission to all the specialisations is based on a valid score in JEE Main Paper 1, except for Biotechnology. For BTech in Biotechnology, IPU CET or CUET is accepted for admission.

GGSIPU B.E. / B.TechGGSIPU BTech Fees 2026
IPU BTech fee structure comprises several per annum and one-time components. Some of the components are tuition fees, university charges, alumni contribution fund, examination fee, etc. BTech fees are the same for all specialisations and course modes offered by GGSIPU and its affiliated colleges. University School of Studies, GGSIPU BTech tuition fee is INR 2.32 L - 7.86 L. Each annual instalment of GGSIPU fees will be different for the BTech programme. Admission to most of the GGSIPU courses is done through entrance tests. However, direct admissions are available through the Management quota. Only some colleges under the GGSIPU accept direct admissions through Management quota.
There is also spot/sliding round admissions available for leftover seats after all CET counselling rounds are over. The colleges fill these seats via walk-in or direct applications.
BTech tuition fees at GGSIPU is INR 7.6 Lacs for all BTech courses in the academic year 2026. However, candidates are also required to pay other fees in the form of university charges, alumni deposit, development and infrastructure fees and others on top of the aforementioned tuition fees.

GGSIPU BTech Admission & Application Process 2026
BTech application process 2026 at GGSIPU is conducted online. Candidates who apply for the GGSIPU BTech course admissions need to ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria for their chosen BTech course. GGSIPU admission to the BTech courses accepts different entrance exams, including JEE Main, IPU CET and CUET, based on the specific BTech course chosen by a candidate. IPU University BTech admission process 2026 includes online registration, appearing in the exam, counselling registration, seat allotment & confirmation. For BTech, Biotechnology and Lateral Entry, admission is done based on IPU CET scores, while for other BTech specialisations, admission is based on a valid JEE Main score. 1. Register online for JEE Main 2026
Candidates seeking BTech admission at this University first need to apply online for JEE Main. The step-wise process to apply for JEE Main 2026 is given below:
- Visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in 2026
- Select the Registration for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 link
- Fill the JEE Main 2026 registration form with the required information, and create a passport photo of your choice.
- Click on the submit button.
2. Appear in the exam
Candidates registered for JEE Main and meeting the minimum eligibility criteria must appear in the JEE Main 2026 entrance exam to register for the GGSIPU counselling process for further admission process.
3. Register for Online Centralised Counselling
At this stage, candidates are required to register and enrol to participate in the University's online centralised counselling process. The seat allotment will be based on merit in the National Level Test (NLT)/Common Entrance Test/IPU CET, by visiting the official websites at http://www.ipu.ac.in & https://ipu.admissions.nic.in. The registration amount is INR 2,500 (non-refundable).
4. Choice Filling & Seat Allotment
Filling of choices (institute/course) and online verification of documents will be carried out in this stage. Based on entrance score, choice filling, seat availability, etc, the round-wise seat allotment will be released by the University. Here, candidates can either accept the allotted seat, freeze, float, or withdraw the seat if they want to.
5. Fee Submission & Confirmation
If the seat is allotted for the first time, candidates must pay the Part Academic Fee if they wish to appear in the further counselling process. Without payment of the fee, the admission will be considered cancelled.
