As per the CUET UG website, students seeking admission to BA at Jamia Millia must appear for and qualify CUET exam. However, since some universities are also considering other components while giving admission to CUET-UG based courses, it could be a possibility of getting into JMI without CUET. But, this being said there is no official information on whether the university will only consider CUET UG scores or other components as well for admission, it is tough to give the right answer. Students are therefore advised to reach out to the admission office for more details. 

 Jamia Millia Islamia is considered to be one of the top universities to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, and advanced Diploma programmes, and students from all around the country and abroad aspire to be a part of this renowned university. Jamia conducts JMI Entrance Examfor admission to most of its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Each year the bar is raised and the exam along with the competition only becomes tougher. Jamia Millia Islamia offers seat reservations in almost all the courses based on the category of the students. Candidates seeking admission under the reserved category can apply for reservation under one category only and are required to fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions of the course. More details regarding JMI reservation criteria are enlisted below:

• 30% of the total number of seats in each course are reserved for Muslim applicants. 10% of the total number of seats in each course are reserved for women applicants
  who are Muslims and 10% of the total number of seats in each course shall be earmarked for (OBCs) and ST students who are Muslims.
• 5% of seats in all the courses are reserved for physically challenged students.
• 5% of seats in all courses must be filled by internal students of Jamia who have passed their qualifying exam from Jamia schools as regular students.

 Scanned copies of the following documents are required while filling up the JMI application form:

• Three passport-size photographs
• Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheet and certificate (original and photocopy)
• Character certificate from the Institution last attended (In original)
• Migration/ Transfer Certificate from the last attended institution
• Copy of the Aadhaar Card

 The top universities in India have set upper or lower age limits for admission to their courses. However, Jamia Millia Islamia has not imposed any such age restrictions. There is no upper age limit to appear in the JMI 2023 exam. However, candidates securing the same rank and marks in JMI exam will be given preference, if they are higher in age than the others. Economics, Hindi, Sanskrit, Spanish & Latin American Studies, French and Turkish Language & Literature will consider CUET scores for admission starting 2022. Jamia Millia Islamia offers BA (Hons) programme across 17 specialisations along with a BA programme. For all the remaining specialisations (other than the aforementioned ones, the university will conduct its own entrance exam, namely JMI Entrance Exam for final admission. However, before every other criteria, all the interested students must have completed their Class 12 with 50% aggregate.
