It is the best college in terms of ROI.

Placements: Jamia Millia Islamia offers a solid placement landscape, especially for core branches like electronics and VLSI. Top tech firms and specialized semiconductor companies frequently recruit here. With a strong alumni network and dedicated cell, the ROI is excellent for hardworking students. In short, it has decent placements.

Infrastructure: Jamia offers a vibe we won't find elsewhere, but the infrastructure is a mixed bag. For VLSI, labs are functional but feel outdated. We will often find ourselves wishing for new kits. Hostels are a survival with trial-cracked walls and vintage fans, though the brotherhood makes it bearable.

Faculty: In JMI, the VLSI course isn't for the week. The course curriculum is a massive theory dump, which will be drowning in Maths and Chemistry before we even touch a chip. Faculty members know their stuff but won't teach us to study, and it's all on us. Exams are pure stress, and the labs feel like a capsule. It's not a grind, and not a cake walk.

I'm satisfied with the value for money.

Placements: Around 50%-70% of students got placed from our stream. The highest salary package offered in Jamia Millia Islamia is 25 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 9 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is around 6 LPA. Some recruiters are TCS, KPMG, and Microsoft.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good a bit old type. Wi-Fi speed is decent. There are enough chassrooms for freshers. Classes are not overcrowded, the bad part as freshers. There are no air-conditioners in class. Library is quite spacious and one of the calmest places in the university. Hostel is quite affordable, and the quality of food served is quite good. Food available in canteen is not that worth the money. Medical facility is excellent, university has its own hospital, which is free of cost, and cleanliness is maintained by hospital authority.

Faculty: Faculty members are good and helpful. They teach passionately. Course curriculum is not updated and is a bit irrelevant ( we are taught Biology Constitution in 1st year). Overall, environment does really help students to make them industry-ready. The ease or difficulty level of semester exams is dependent, some may be a bit tough, while others might be easier.

Good and competitive environment.

Placements: Placement rate is not satisfactory. Around 50%-60% of students got placed on campus. However, many students secure jobs off-campus as well. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA, and the average salary package is 8 LPA. The lowest salary package is approximately 5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Facilities are good and above average. Campus is very green and has fresh air. Wi-Fi network is good. Classrooms for first-year students are below average. Library is well-maintained. In hostel, we have two buildings. One is MMA Hall and the other is Zakir Husain Hall. The quality of food is decent. There is a hospital available for students on the Jamia campus. Sports facilities are exceptional.

Faculty: Teachers are very good and helpful by nature. Some teachers have studied at IIT and their teaching quality is good. Course curriculum is best and relevant. Semester exams are a bit tough, but not that hard to pass.

Satisfied with the faculty. Average placements in 2023-2024. Good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: 60 to 70 percent is the placement percentage in the campus placements. 60 lpa is the highest package and 3 lpa is the lowest package. Microsoft, Google, and Amazon are top recruiting companies. 80% students got internships in Accenture, L&T, etc. Top roles offered are not classified.

Infrastructure: Departments and classrooms are decent. Wi-Fi connectivity and speed are good. The labs and library are well enough and clean. Hostel facilities are good and mess, canteen, medical facilities, etc. are also good. But sports and games are not that much; we need to work on that.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. They are B.Tech or B.Sc., then M.Tech or M.Sc., then Ph.D. from well-known universities. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Semester exams are up to mark. Exams are relevant to syllabus and lecture checking is neither lenient nor tough.

Other: I chose Electronics in VLSI Design because of the rise in the semiconductor industry. Events and fests are negligible .

Fee is low and placements are average.

Placements: 75% of students got placed in my course. 59 LPA, 3 LPA, and 10 LPA are the highest, lowest, and average packages offered in my course. Top recruiting companies for our course are Google, Apple, and Microsoft. 8% of students got internships from my course in many companies.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi speed is decent but not wide. Labs are not upto the mark. Classrooms are good. Library is up to the mark. Hostels are very impressive with good hygiene food and top Wi-Fi speed. Sports and games are also conducted regularly. Medical facilities are free.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is neither very good nor very bad. This course curriculum is relevant but it doesn't make the students industry-ready. Semester exams are not very tough or easy at this college. 40% is the pass percentage.
