Placement is bad, but college and faculty are the best.
Placements: The placement of this college was literally very bad. A very small number of companies have come for placement. Most of the students were unplaced after their final year. Only 10% students get a job offer. Students were very satisfied with the placement opportunity. The placement record was very bad and needs to be better in this college.
Infrastructure: The college was located in a very good place. Many facilities were available for students. Classrooms were neat and clean, and a library was present with a variety of books. The hostel was available for student accommodation. The hostel was only available for those students who were in a bad financial condition, lower caste, and who were far away from their homes. The mess food was delicious.
Faculty: Teachers were so qualified. They taught every topic very easily to the students. They were very helpful and friendly with the students. The course curriculum was relevant. They made students industrially ready. Teachers gave 100% effort so that students can easily get a job. The semester exam was moderate to tough. The passing percentage was good.

All good and bad things about the college.
Placements: Around 65% students get job offers from our college. The highest salary varied from 9.5-9.8 LPA, and 2.5 LPA is the lowest package. The top recruiters of our college are IBM and TCS. The top roles offered are data analyst and research analyst. Many students get an internship programme. The placement cell of this college is actively working.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is the best. Facilities like a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, library, labs, and properly managed classrooms are available. This college has indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The taste of the food is moderate. A medical facility is available 24/7 in this college. A cultural event was also conducted.
Faculty: Most of the lecturers have a PhD. They are very strict but very kind. Always motivate students to study. All faculty members have extensive knowledge about their own subject. They teach all subjects very deeply and also in an easy way. The course curriculum is the best and most relevant. Exams are difficult. 50% students clear the exam.

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)  - Batch of 2025

Totally value for money.
Placements: I'm a student of the Government School of Nursing, Kollam, 54th batch. There are 25 students in the class. We all got an internship from our mother institution, the District Hospital, Kollam. Now, 30 seats are available in our institution. It is fairly based on marks obtained in the higher secondary course.
Infrastructure: Facilities for lab, classrooms, library, etc., are available, but there is limited space. There is no sports ground, and I didn't get any time to play games. Mess is available, and there is no canteen inside the campus. The quality of food is average. I'm not satisfied with it. Hostel and facilities are available, and that is good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified. M.Sc. in nursing and have adequate knowledge and skills. The course curriculum is relevant. Exams are very difficult, but the practical sessions are easier than the theory. We get adequate practical knowledge from our institution. A 50 percent is required to pass the exam.
Other: I like nursing and the availability of job opportunities. I want to improve in our course through some extracurricular activities. Because nursing students may face many stresses and anxiety. It is essential to relieve it.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy - Batch of 2025

I had an average college experience, good academics, limited exposure, and no placement support.
Placements: None of the students from our college will get placed by the college, but after BPT, job opportunities are available because there are many clinics that are not assisted by the college. The average salary is like Rs. 15,000-Rs. 20,000 per month. No top recruiting companies, and as far as my knowledge goes, a Physiotherapist role in hospitals or clinics, or a tutor in colleges.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi, a lab, and classrooms are good. The projector and library have enough books, and the lab equipment is not that modern, which includes some old machines. The college hostel is good, but it's no longer the hostel I stayed in. The food is good, and we play games in the hostel, but the college ground is small, and no one plays that much on the ground.
Faculty: Some teachers are good, but some are inexperienced. They always use PPTs from Slideshare. The course curriculum has a good standard, which makes it industry-ready, but the way of clinical posting is not that good because I have seen many students who studied from Mangalore have better exposure to more techniques in physiotherapy, and they have a different approach than KUHS.
Other: The things you don't expect much from campus life in college are because very few students and a lack of extracurricular activities, which don't give campus life as expected. The hostel life is good, but the problem with the hostel is that you must get to the hostel by 6:00 PM. Initially, it was a hard thing, but later it was not a problem for us because we enjoyed our hostel life very much.

The college gas good infrastructure and eco-friendly environment.
Placements: About 70% of students get placed from our college. Top recruiting companies include Bosch, Reliance Industries, Leyland, etc. Top roles offered in our course are maintenance engineer, quality control, powertrain, etc. About 75% of students get internships from our course in various companies.
Infrastructure: Our department has a large seminar hall, well-maintained labs, smart classrooms, and tutorial rooms. The college provides separate hostels for women and men. Food for hostelers is arranged in the canteen. Medical room and sports facilities are available. The college provides a large ground for sports.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They help us gain good knowledge in all subjects. Semester exams are a little tough, but teachers help us with full confidence to achieve good marks. The pass percentage is about 75%. This course curriculum is relevant.
Other: I chose this program because I want to explore the field of machines and industrial activities. They gain more knowledge about the work done in this field.
