You have to build your own skillset.
Placements: As compared to the previous years, the rate of placements has dropped. High salary packages have drastically decreased. College isn't providing skills up to the mark. The fee is more than 3 lakhs per year, but you won't get a guaranteed placement. It's true that many companies do visit SRM but the employers need skills that you won't have if you depend on the college.
Infrastructure: As per the fees you are paying (3 lakhs + in my case which has increased now), you won't be satisfied with the infrastructure. There is no AC in the classrooms. Most of the old labs don't have proper air-conditioned systems and desktops (new ones have as of now).
Faculty: The curriculum and syllabus are interesting and seem as per the industry standards with some real life implementation. But most of the faculty members don't teach properly. Most of them don't even have proper subject knowledge. But the good thing is they would award you good marks if you manage to write something relatable, so if you put in a little effort also you would be able to make a good to go CGPA (of course there are some irritating faculty members who won't bother about your CGPA, but thankfully they are very less).
Other: Don't have such a good campus life. For a good campus life, it's better you go to the Katagulantur campus. CSBS is a good course if you want to have technical knowledge along with some business insights. If you work hard without being dependent on the university and not expecting anything from the university, you will end up with something very good.

Happy with faculty members.
Placements: About more than 90% are placed, top recruitments are by TCS, IBM, etc. The highest package is about 30 Lacs and average is 7-8, the lowest is 3.5. about 20% got internships, and they have been for several roles like, software developed, fullstack developed, marketing and sales.
Infrastructure: Infra is more than good, effectively managed, north Indians may struggle with the food, quality of the infrastructure is good and facilities are provided in our hostel, food quality is average, canteen is good and affordable, sport complex is present in campus .
Faculty: Academics are easy, and staffs are very helpful, management of the institute is some what hard to deal with, management is a struggling point
multiple industry engagement are always tried in the campus, multiple hackathons and meetup are managed .

See there is no such thing as cutoff there will be ranking everyone can Take CS but the fees will be varying.
Officially SRM University never published the cut-off for specific branch and campus but as per previous year and current trend CSE in kattankulathur campus has been given to top 3k to 3.5K
