Thapar University BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology BTech is a four-year undergraduate degree course, divided into eight semesters and offered in full-time mode. Admissions can be taken by presenting a valid JEE Main score. Class 12 performance is also taken into consideration. Students who have passed Class 12 with at least 60% with PCM/B are eligible to apply. Reserved category candidates require a minimum of 55% marks.
Thapar University BTech courses are spread across various specialisations. TIET admission to BE/BTech is conducted through two modes. 50% of the total BE/ BTech seats shall be filled based on Class 12 marks the other 50% will be filled based on JEE percentile.
