No, VIT does not offer B.Sc. In Psychology courses to students. Instead, the university provides B.Sc. In Computer Science, Multimedia & Animation/ Visual Communication, Hospitality and Hotel Administration, and Visual Communication courses to students. The eligibility criteria for B.Sc. Is Class 12 with a minimum of 60% to 70% aggregate.

IIT is a public/government university. Whereas, VIT is a private university. Therefore there is difference in the fee for various courses and the education structure as well. The total tuition fee for VIT Vellore BTech ranges between INR 4.9 lakh and 7.8 lakh. The total course fee, includes a caution deposit of INR 3,000 as well. The fee will vary as per the specialisation selected by the candidates. BTech is available in 24 specialisations, namely Computer Science and Engineering (Bioinformatics), Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, etc. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. Candidates can pay the registration fee via any of the online payment mode. The application fee is INR 1350. 

VIT Vellore accepts VITEEE cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission to the BTech specialisations. However, the authorities did not release the VIT Vellore VITEEE 2024 cutoff online, and it was only accessible to candidates who appeared for the entrance exam. VIT Vellore's cut off depends on several factors and will be used in the preparation of the merit list for the counselling and admission process.

A total of 14044 offers were made in 2025 including 3499 Dream, 3563 Super Dream and 6982 Regular offers from 868 participating companies. The highest package offered during VIT Vellore placements 2025 stood at INR 1 Cr per annum. 

For that in the non-core branches, you have to secure under 50k rank and if you want to take admission in core branches then you have to secure under 10k rank. For CSE, you have to score under 1k and for ECE under 5k rank.

The institute conducts VITEEE for BTech admission, VITMEE for M.Tech admissions and VITREE for PhD admission. The institute accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc., for MBA course. However, admission to a few other courses, including BSc, BSc (Hons), BCA, BCom, MSc, MCA, among others, is based on the aggregate obtained by the candidates in previous qualifying degree/ exam (merit-based). After passing the entrance exam, aspirants are called further rounds of selection. Shortlisted aspirants need to come for counselling and document verification round.

VIT Vellore has a good record of placements. As per the latest report, 868 recruiters visited the camous for 2025 drive and presented 14044 job offers to the students. The highest package offered stood at INR 1 Cr per annum. The students of the batch 2025 received 3563 super dream and 3499 dream offers from reputed companies.
