Yes, there has been a fall in the JEE Advanced cutoff rank for CSE at IIT Kharagpur over the past three years. As per the IIT Kharagpur CSE cutoff 2026 for the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff was 509. In 2025 and 2024, the cutoffs for the same round were 450 and 414, respectively. The higher the rank, the lower the competition. For other categories, the scenario might be different.
As per the elgibility criteria released by the IITs, It is mandatory to have minimum 75% marks (65% for reserved category) in class 12 to take admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates should apply for JoSAA conselling only if they fulfill all the conditions of eligibility. The last round cutoff ranks among the General AI category candidates varied between 466 and 19141.
