Best college for Computer Engineering and best placements for Computer Science.
Placements: Computer Engineering is the best course among all 5 engineering courses. Computer has the highest percentage of students placed compared to all departments, with an average of 12 LPA, the lowest being 5 LPA, and the highest 22 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Amazon, Samsung, Optum, TCS Digital, etc.
Infrastructure: Mess is very good for this amount of money, very hygienic, nutritious, and affordable. There are a total of 6 boys’ hostels and 3 girls’ hostels, with 3 students in one room. The infrastructure is very good in Jamia’s old-style buildings, with Wi-Fi all over the campus and hostels. There is one big Zakir Hussain library and a sports complex.
Faculty: Computer Engineering department has the best faculty members in the engineering departments, and they are very knowledgeable and experienced. A total of 2 sessional exams and one end-semester exam are conducted by the engineering department, and they are not hard; we can easily pass the exams. Placement offers are mostly given to computer students as priority students.

Campus life is amazing with good placements, low fees, an old curriculum, and a lack of internships.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed is 70% in the 2025 batch. The highest package is 40 LPA. The lowest package is 3.5 LPA. The average package is around 7 LPA - 8 LPA. Top recruiters are Optum, Accenture, HSBC, Zenon, CDOT, etc. 15% of students got internships at Microsoft, CDOT, Accenture, and Optum. The top role is SWE.
Infrastructure: Facilities available in classes are above average. There is 24/7 Wi-Fi with good speed. The infrastructure of labs is also amazing with Apple computers. There are various libraries like an engineering library, a common library, and a girls' common room for study. Facilities available in the hostel are also very good. Veg and non-veg food are available. Breakfast is also very good. There are also special food facilities for Muslims during Ramadan month. Medical facilities are also amazing. An ambulance is available. Sports and games facilities are very amazing. There is Nawab Mansoor Ali Pataudi Stadium.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. All teachers have doctorate degrees. They are well-qualified and very knowledgeable. They are experienced. The teaching quality is also above average. The course curriculum is not so relevant like in keeping the present in mind. They are following the old curriculum and syllabus. The course curriculum does not make students ready for industry. They have to do an internship to gain industry experience. Semester exams are very good. If you are preparing for sessional exams before one week and preparing 2 weeks before the end, it is good. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose my course in this college because it is value for money. It is a government institute so the fee is also very less compared to private colleges, IITs, NITs, or any other colleges. Campus placements are also very good. According to me, better improvement will be there if they allow NOC internships easily. The major issue is that they do not give the NOC easily. Events, fests, and the campus crowd are very amazing. There are scholarships which the college provides like Aajmi Scholarship, APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship, etc.

The latest cutoff is not released yet and the number of seats are 70 and last year the cutoff for general students is 25998 and the year the probability of cutoff lies between 25-30k.

Faculty: Very good but is very strict at the same time(exceptions are always there).
Infrastructure: Good. AC in almost every class (a thing u could not expect in a government college)

from this year onwards, jmi has started taking admissions on the basis of jee main score. you can consider 25-30k for general, 40-50k for muslim students and 70-80k for muslim girl students.
