JIPMAT 2022 Question Papers: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JIPMAT exam every year for admission to IPM courses offered by IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. Q:   What type of questions appear in the JIPMAT question paper?
A:
NTA designs the JIPMAT exam question paper with objective-type questions. Multiple choice questions, or objective types questions in JIPMAT exam will have a total of four options. Candidates need to mark one correct response out of these four option choices. Choosing the correct answer option will fetch 4 marks, while incorrect option choice will lead to a negative one mark. No subjective questions are included in the JIPMAT exam pattern. Therefore, candidates may event land in a situation when the answer would strike immediately when he/she comes across the correct answer option.
Q:   How many questions are asked in the JIPMAT exam?
A:
NTA has designed the JIPMAT exam to compile as many as 100 questions collectively across three sections. NTA has tried and divided these 100 questions equally across the following sections: 1. Quantitative Aptitude (QA) 2. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) 3. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) Both QA and DILR have 33 questions each, while the VARC section compiles 34 questions. The marking scheme, type of questions, medium of questions, and other elements of pattern remains the same for all the three sections.

JIPMAT Question Paper 2022: Highlights

After the launch of the IPM courses by IIM IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya, JIPMAT 2022 was the second session of the exam. The syllabus for JIPMAT 2022 was on similar lines to the previous session of the exam. Additionally, the test structure is similar to other BBA entrance exams. Therefore, Class 12 qualified candidates had a hint about exam pattern and JIPMAT difficulty level.

However, some tweaks were recorded in the topic-wise weightage as compared to other BBA entrance exams. Features of the JIPMAT 2022 exam were as follows:

  • JIPMAT 2022 question paper had three sections, including 
    • Part I: Quantitative Ability
    • Part II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning 
    • Part III: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
  • A total of 100 questions were asked in the JIPMAT 2022 exam.
  • Each question carried four marks.
  • Each incorrect response in the JIPMAT answer sheet led to a negative marking of one mark.

Exam Pattern Followed in JIPMAT 2022 Question Paper

JIPMAT 2022 exam pattern was on similar lines to the pattern followed in the previous exam session. Besides the previous year’s pattern, several BBA entrance exams have similar exam pattern. Moving forward, no change is expected in the JIPMAT exam pattern for the upcoming sessions.

JIPMAT 2022 Sectional Overview

Weightage in JIPMAT sections are designed in a way to populate 100 questions in three sections. Therefore, VARC has an additional question, while the other two sections have equal question weightage. Check the table below for sectional overview of JIPMAT 2022 exam:

Q:   Can I download the JIPMAT question paper along with the answer key?
A:
NTA releases JIPMAT question paper and answer key together. Candidates can log in to check the JIPMAT provisional answer key on the official exam website. On clicking the PDF file for answer key, candidates find the questions along with the question ID. Below each question, all the answer options will be provided with a distinct answer ID. Candidates can download the PDF from the login dashboard to get the JIPMAT question paper with provisional answer key in a single PDF file. NTA also releases the JIPMAT question paper separately at the NTA website under the 'Downloads' section. However, the question paper on the NTA website appears after the entire exam session ends.
Q:   Is there any specific order to answer questions in JIPMAT exam?
A:

No, candidates can answer questions from the sections in any order while taking the JIPMAT exam.

Q:   How can I get admission in IIM Jammu for MBA?
A:

IIM Jammu MBA admissions are done on the basis of performance of candidate in CAT followed by a WAT/PI round. Apart from the entrance test and interview performance, IIM Jammu also considers the academic record and work experience of the candidate.

The admission process if IIM Jammu MBA begins with registering for CAT on its official website. The candidates are required to select IIM Jammu PGP during the application process.

Aspirants who meet the minimum CAT percentile are invited to appear for the WAT/ PI round. 

The final merit list is prepared considering the below mentioned components:

  • CAT percentile- 40% Weightage 
  • Personal Interview- 30% Weightage 
  • Profile - 30%

Under profile section following things are considered:

  • Academic profile: 10 marks (Class 10, Class 12, Graduation)
  • Work Experience: 10 marks
  • Diversity (Gender): 10 marks
