• Arithmetic Dominance: As per the previous years analysis, Arithmetic heavily dominated the section with topics like Percentages, Profit & Loss, and Time-Speed-Distance.
• Multi-Step Algebra: Algebra questions required detailed, multi-step problem solving before arriving at the answer.
• Time-Consuming Topics: Questions covering Probability and Permutation & Combination were tricky and consumed a lot of the candidates' time.

2. Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR): Candidates uniformly reported that DILR was the hardest section of the JIPMAT 2026 exam. Complex data sets and tricky logic puzzles drove the difficulty. Some observations from candidate feedback include:

• Calculation-Heavy DI: Data Interpretation sets featured mixed graphs (such as combinations of tables and bar charts), demanding multiple intense calculations and significant time investments.
• Complex Puzzles: There were 1-2 complex, multi-variable puzzle questions. Many candidates reported abandoning these midway because a single puzzle could consume 8 to 10 minutes.

3. Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC): Candidates found VARC to be the easiest and most scoring section of the exam. Test-takers who had a strong grasp of basic English grammar and consistent reading habits managed to maximise their scores here.

• Manageable RCs: The Reading Comprehension passages cover topics like economics, science, and social commentary. Candidates noted they were moderately difficult but easily answerable with careful reading.
• Scoring Grammar: Grammar and Sentence Correction questions were clear and objective, providing quick marks.
• Vocabulary: Vocabulary questions were straightforward for candidates who prepared regularly.

JIPMAT 2026 Expected Good Attempts

To secure a 99+ percentile and a strong chance for an interview call, accuracy and high attempt rates are crucial. Candidates mentioned that managing time effectively across the 100 questions was the main challenge. A good overall attempt range is estimated at 85 to 95 questions out of 100, provided the candidate maintains at least an 85% accuracy rate.
