JIPMAT 2026 Exam Day Guidelines: The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the JIPMAT exam for admission to IPM courses offered by IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. JIPMAT exam is administered as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) from 03:00 PM to 05:30 PM. JIPMAT 2026 Pre-Exam Instructions
For pre-exam preparation, candidates must ensure they keep all important documents required at test centre, and they abide by the dress code to avoid hassles during the frisking process. Check JIPMAT pre exam preparation below:
Document to Carry on JIPMAT Exam Day
Candidates must prepare and organise all necessary documents before arriving at the test centre. Failing to produce these documents will result in denied entry.

JIPMAT Admit Card: Download and print the official admit card from the NTA website. Candidates must affix the exact passport-size photograph uploaded during the application process and paste a clear left-hand thumb impression in the designated spaces beforehand. However, the signature box must remain empty until the candidate signs in the presence of the invigilator.

Identification Proof: Carry an original, valid government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms of ID include a PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, Driver's License, or a school ID card.

Certificates: Candidates applying under the PwD or PwBD categories must carry their official disability certification issued by the Competent Authority.

Photographs: Carry two extra passport-size photographs to the exam centre.
JIPMAT 2026 Dress Code for Male and Female

Candidates must report to the examination centre two hours before the commencement of the exam to avoid missing important pre-exam instructions.

Any candidate reporting after the designated gate closing time will be denied entry. Forceful entry or arguing with exam functionaries will be treated as an Unfair Means (UFM) practice.
Security and Biometrics at JIPMAT Test Centre

Frisking will be conducted at the entrance of the test centre.

Biometric information, which may include fingerprints and facial recognition, will be collected from all candidates upon arrival to verify identity.

The NTA does not provide storage facilities and is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings. Therefore, do not bring baggage to the test venue.

Accompanying individuals, such as friends or relatives, are strictly prohibited from entering the test centre or contacting candidates during the test.

JIPMAT Instructions for Exam Hall
Inside the exam hall, candidates must ensure they abide by the seating and attendance rules along with the guidelines for using the CBT exam software and guidelines for rough work.
Seating and Attendance

Candidates must find their assigned seat immediately after the exam hall opens.

Do not change seats without explicit permission from the invigilator. Unauthorised seat changes are considered an unfair means practice and will result in the cancellation of candidature.

Candidates must sign the attendance sheet and paste their photograph in the specified space.

Verify the subject code displayed on the computer screen. Inform the invigilator immediately if there is any discrepancy.
Test Guidelines and Rough Work

The CBT exam interface requires candidates to use the mouse to answer questions. The computer keyboard will be disabled for the entire duration of the test.

All calculations must be performed exclusively on the rough sheets provided by the centre. Writing on any other material is prohibited.

Candidates must write their name and roll number on the front and back of every rough sheet provided.

Upon completion of the exam, candidates must return all used rough sheets to the invigilator. Candidates are also required to deposit their admit card and rough sheets into designated drop boxes located at the JIPMAT exam centre. Attempting to take away any question or response material from the test centre is not allowed and may lead to disqualification.
