What is Chemistry?
Chemistry is the branch of natural science that deals with the study of the properties, composition, and structure of elements and compunds. Every matter or substance that we see, feel or touch, or experience is studied in Chemistry. In chemistry, we study the compositions of matter, what they are made up of, how they can change, and the energy they produce.
11 Chemistry NCERT is subdivided into three main parts, which are as under:
- Physical Chemistry
- Inorganic Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
Physical chemistry: Physical chemistry deals with the study of macroscopic properties, atomic properties, and phenomena in chemical systems. The students also learn the rates of chemical reactions, the energy transfers that occur in reactions, and the physical structure of matter at the molecular level.
Inorganic chemistry: In Inorganic chemistry, the students study the substances that normally have little or no carbon, constitute the discipline of inorganic chemistry. Generally, Inorganic chemicals are commonly found in rocks and minerals.
NCERT has uploaded the books for class 12 or CBSE 12th books on the official website. Shiksha.com has also uploaded the e-books here for students. You can click on the subject-wise CBSE 12th books link to download and read the e-books.
Organic chemistry: Organic chemistry is the study of chemicals that contain carbon with hydrogen. Carbon has numerous variety and extent of structures that results from the three-dimensional connections of its atoms. Carbon is one of the most abundant elements that is capable of forming a vast number of chemicals. In the living organism, most of the chemicals found are based on carbon.

Hi.
If you apply with JEE Main scores, CU primarily considers your JEE Main percentile / AIR for admission.
12th marks are generally secondary in this case — mostly used for eligibility criteria (like minimum 50–60% in PCM or aggregate, depending on branch).
High JEE scores can also qualify you for JEE
