IIT Gandhinagar has concluded it recruitment drive of BTech with a record of 92% placements. As per the latest report, 253 recruiters participated in the placement process and successfully placed 124 students in various new-age job profiles. The highest and average package offered during 2022 placements was INR 62 LPA and INR 15.35 LPA, respectively.

As per JoSAA Closing ranks IIT Gandhinagar cutoff was 1576 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 4592 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

IIT Gandhinagar admissions 2024 are based on JEE Main 2024 ranks followed by JEE Advanced ranks and further followed by JoSAA Counselling. Candidates seeking admission to IIT Gandhinagar BTech  course must appear for JEE Main and JEE Advanced in order to be eligible for further admission process. 

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIT Gandhinagar - Indian Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

To get a call from IIT Gandhinagar, for MSc admission, candidates must have secured a minimum rank of 413, the toughest course being MSc in Chemistry. The closing rank for different MSc courses ranged between 413 and 438. During 2023, the cutoff rank for MSc in Chemistry was 446 and in 2022, it stood at 352. IIT Gandhinagar admission process is entirely based on the selection of candidates via popular entrance exams such as JEE Advanced and GATE, etc., for courses such as BTech and MTech, respectively. Further, IIT Gandhinagar conducts an institute-level test for the selection MA and PhD courses. Candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as per the course requirements and then qualify for the respective entrance exam in order to secure a seat at IIT Gandhinagar. Later on, the final seat allotment is done through counselling process.
