The first round of seat allotment of CCMN will be out in the first week for June 2026, tentatively. The official dates of first round of CCMN seat allotment were released on the official notification.

Since all the programmes of NIT Nagaland are entrance exam based. So seats are allotted through individual counselling. For example, a BTech seat is allotted through JoSSA counselling. To apply for BTech based on national-level entrance exam, candidates need to visit the official website of NTA to fill out the application form and pay the prescribed application fee online. BTech aspirants must fill out the application form for JEE Main through the official website of the National Testing Agency. The application fee for boys is INR 1,000 and for girls, it is INR 800. NIT Nagaland considers the scores of IIT-JAM for admission to the MSc programme. Followed by IIT JAM, students have to go through the CCMN counselling for final seat allotment to the institute. In addition to the exam, students must also meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the institute which is to have a bachelor’s degree, namely BSc (Hons) in Physics with first class or 6.5 CGPA for General and OBC candidates and 55% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA in 10 scale grading for SC and ST candidates.

GATE is a national-level examination that aims to evaluate the knowledge and aptitude of candidates in preparation for admission to engineering and management programmes. GATE Application Process 2025 began on August 28, 2024. Earlier, the deadline for registering for the GATE was October 3, 2024 (without late fees). However, The last date to fill the application form was extended with late fees till October 11, 2024. Candidates were able to fill out the GATE Application Form 2025 by visiting the official website; i.e. gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
