NIT Raipur Admission 2025: Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility & Application

The National Institute of Technology Raipur is recognised as the Institute of National Importance and is funded by the Government of India under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007. The institute was ranked 65 in the Engineering category by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2022. Talking about NIT Raipur placements 2022, the average package ranges between INR 11.87 LPA and INR 15.86 LPA for the Engineering branch. NIT Raipur offers MCA course of three years duration. To get admission into the MCA course, students should meet the basic eligibility criteria. which is a Bachelor's degree with at least an aggregate of 60% marks along-with valid scores in NIMCET. 

The MCA course at  NIT Raipur is offered in full-time mode for three years. The names of the subjects included in the first semesters are as follows:

Students can get NIT Raipur with a 1600 rank. However, it may not be possible in the first tworounds as the cutoff generally remains higher. However, in the last round, your chances are good. NIT Raipur cutoff 2025 ranged from 1500 to 1823 in the last round for students belonging to the General AI category. While you might not get M.Sc. in Mathematics, as its cutoff was 1500, M.Sc. in Chemistry and M.Sc. in Physics are available to you, with their cutoff being 1614 and 1823, respectively. With a score of 325 in CCMT 2025, your chances of admission at NIT Raipur 2025 are good. For the General AI category, the cutoff for various M.Tech courses ranged from 352 to 590. Since your score of 325 falls within this range, you qualify for multiple courses, such as M.Tech. in Power System and Control, M.Tech. in Structural Engineering, with scores of 322 and 317, respectively. NIT Raipur MTeach cutoff 2025 has been released for various specialisations, rounds and categories. This year, in 2025, the M.Tech cutoff 2025 ranged from 354 to 590 for candidates belonging to the General category, All India quota, wherein M.Tech in Energy and Environment proved to be the toughest, and on the other hand, M.Tech. in Power System and Control, the easiest, according to the lowest last round score. The competition for M.Tech in Energy and Environment has significantly increased since last year because in 2024, the last round cutoff was 355.  Please make a note that other categories and rounds have different cutoffs for the same course specialisations

With a score of 400, getting into NIT Raipur should be easy if you belong to the General AI quota. With your rank of 6000, your chances of admission to NIT Raipur 2025 are favourable if you belong to the OBC AI category, as the cutoff was from 5209 to 100497.  B.Tech. of Architecture (B.Arch.) was the most popular among candidates. NIT Raipur closing score for MCA 2025 for the General AI category candidates is 625 as per the last round closing cutoff score. For the OBC category, the cutoff was capped at 721. For other categories, the last round cutoff score will vary. For more details, refer to the table below.

NIT Raipur M.Sc. cutoff 2025 has been released for various specialisations, rounds, and categories. For the General AI category, the M.Sc. cutoff 2025 ranged from 1500 to 1823. Wherein, M.Sc. in Mathematics was the most competitive and M.Sc. in Physics, the least. Therefore, if you belong to the General AI category, a rank below 1823 would increase your chances of admission. NIT Raipur has an intake of 110 students for its MCA courses. According to the seat resevration policy followed by the institute, certain seats are reserved for SC, ST, EWS and OBC-NCL categories. Check out the seat reservation for MCA courses below:

• Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): 27% of seats are reserved.

The seat allotment is provided during the central counseling through NIMCET only, and for reservations done under the same. Additionally, candidates are required to submit supporting documents. 

Currently, the JEE Main round third closing rank for admission to the BTech in CSE course at NIT Raipur is 12619. Moreover, as per the comparison of cutoffs of similar rounds in the years 2025, 2024, and 2023 it shows that the ranks slightly get higher and the competitions get a little lower. The MCA Cutoff 2025 has been released in the form of scores for all categories and rounds. Different categories will have different cutoff scores accordingly. For the General AI category candidates, Master of Computer Applications (MCA) has closed its admission at the last round cutoff score of 625. For the SC AI category, the last round cutoff score was 3160, and for the ST AI category, 6754. This pattern suggests that competition is tougher for the unreserved category when compared to the reserved categories for the same course.

Yes, JEE Mains is compulsory for B.Tech. admission at NIT, Raipur. The seat distribution for admission to NIT Raipur will be governed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). A merit list would be created category-by-category, detailing candidates' All India Ranks (AIR) with a valid JEE Main or equivalent entrance examination score. Candidates are expected to participate in JoSAA Counselling rounds according to their category based on the rank they have attained.

NIT Raipur CSE cutoff 2025 was published for various categories under both the All India and Home State quotas. For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 12123 to 17240.
