Education Minister, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal to announce JEE Main 2021 exam dates, schedule and more on December 16 at 6 pm. Check the complete details below.

Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. Union Education Minister has shared a tweet regarding JEE Main 2021 notification. In this tweet, he mentions that all the suggestions regarding the JEE Main 2021 exam have been taken into consideration. The Minister will announce JEE Main 2021 exam dates and schedule, the number of times the exam and more today i.e. December 16 at 6 pm.

On December 15, NTA had released JEE Main 2021 February notification on December 15 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. However, later in the evening, the authority had removed the information brochure and the notification related to the application form. The official notification stated that the JEE Main 2021 exam dates would be conducted on February 22 to 25 in online mode. The JEE Main 2021 application form was scheduled to release on December 15, 2020 and close on January 15, 2021. Now, the Minister will clarify and end all the confusions and doubts related to the exam. 
Earlier, Dr Pokhriyal conducted a live interaction session where he addressed all the queries/doubts related to JEE Main 2021 exam. He stated that the Ministry is considering the decision to conduct JEE Main four times a year starting from February end, then March, April and May. He answered queries on JEE Main syllabus and also a clash of JEE Main exam dates 2021 with board practicals.

It is expected that all candidates appearing for JEE-Main 2021 will need to attempt 75 questions out of 90 or 25 out of questions 30 in each section of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Earlier, students have no choice of attempting questions. The change in the question paper format is being introduced likely to accommodate school boards that have reduced class 11 and 12 syllabi and those that have not.

JEE Main 2021 would also be conducted in regional languages. Like NEET examination, JEE Main 2021 would be conducted in English, Hindi, Urdu and also in eight regional languages including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.

No. There is no qualifying percentile in JEE Main. However, the candidates who want to appear in JEE Advanced will have to get a minimum qualifying percentile in JEE Mains. This minimum qualifying percentile is announced with the JEE Main session 2 reult.
