A student should know the complete pattern of the exam and prepare for entrance exams like COMEDK with complete dedication and concentration. Always cover all the topics based on the marks allotted while completing the syllabus.
COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) as the name suggests it is an exam for admission in undergraduate courses. Students who opt for this exam get admission in colleges in South India, like Bengaluru, Karnataka, Chennai, etc. The colleges that come under this exam are

1) R.V. College of Engineering
2) PES Institute of Technology and Management
4) Ramaiah Institute of Technology
7) Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology
8) The National Institute of Engineering
Most of the colleges in the above-mentioned list are private institutes. The exam is similar to JEE (Joint Entrance Exam), whereas the pattern is a bit different. There are a total of 180 questions in the exam that is 60 questions from each subject like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking in this examination.
The total duration of the exam is 3 hours i.e. 180 minutes. The level of the exam compared to JEE is easy. The questions are mostly based on NCERT books. Attaining 130 marks is considered a good score and in order to score 130 marks a student should first prepare from NCERT books of Class 11 and 12. After analysing last 5-year question papers here is the list of chapters and number of questions asked in COMEDK.

Initially, students could practice exercise questions of NCERT and read the in text points. After completing this, they could practice previous year question papers; this would help them understand the real-time exam scenario. Students often get stressed out during the exam, staying calm during an examination helps in enhancing the concentration while solving the paper. One minute should be given for solving a question so prioritisation of the section/ topic is important. From my personal experience, I could say that NCERT and previous year question papers are enough still if you have more time in hand and wish to practice more other books like HC Verma for Physics, Exampler for Mathematics could also be referred.
