Karnataka Govt has made plans to vaccinate students on priority. With speculations that children will be the most affected in third wave, experts recommend that JEE Main 2021 aspirants should be given priority in vaccination.

JEE-Main-2021-Vaccination

The nation is witnessing mass spread of Coronavirus with another third wave yet to come in near future. It is being said that children will be most affected in the third wave of Coronavirus. Due to COVID spreadout, schools and colleges have been closed for over a year and studies have been hugely impacted. Now that JEE Main exam dates 2021 for April and May have been announced, vaccinating JEE aspirants should be given a priority.

COVID vaccine is the most powerful weapon against Coronavirus disease and experts suggests that students should be given priority in vaccination. The Karnataka govt has already taken measures in this regard and has decided to vaccinate teachers and students on priority. The Delhi govt has also proposed to vaccinate students on priority.

Should JEE Aspirants be vaccinated on priority?

The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) is the biggest engineering entrance exam in the country with around 20 lakh candidates appearing in the exam every year. The exam is conducted in 4 phase wherein the first two phases for the current academic year has been conducted in February and March while the remaining two phases are yet to be conducted. Around 12 lakh candidates are expected to be participating in the next two phases which is a huge number to manage.

National Testing Agency (NTA), the organizing body of JEE Main 2021, has set up more than 300 exam centres throughout the country to conduct JEE Main 2021. NTA has previously  conducted the exam in 2020 amid the COVID spreadout with all the precuation and safety guidelines.

The govt has not any decision on vaccinating JEE aspirants on priority and thus the responsibility lies on the guardians and students to get vaccinated. This will ensure the students safety against Coronavirus and will add up as an additional shield against the Coronavirus beside NTA’s security steps and other hygiene measures.

How feasible is vaccinating all JEE Main 2021 aspirants?

The vaccination of all JEE aspirants could be an enigmatic task. Students of JEE Main are spread throughout the country from remotest village in the north-east to the far north in Kashmir and Ladakh. Shall govt be opening the facility to vaccinate JEE Main 2021 students on priority, then also the responsibility will be on students and their guardians to get themselves vaccinated. There might be many students of JEE Main 2021 who are not 18 and vaccination could not be done on such students. But still, COVID vaccination is the most powerful shiled agains Coronavirus spread and students must be given priority before they appear for the JEE Main 2021 exam.

When will NTA conduct JEE Main 2021?

JEE Main 2021 exam date for the remaining two phases has been announced by NTA. JEE Main 2021 April exam will be conducted from July 20 to 25 and May exam will be held from July 25 to August 2. NTA has increased JEE Main exam cities and exam centres to main social distancing and COVID protocols in examination halls.
