Changes in KEAM Question Paper Pattern
- Starting in 2024, KEAM transitioned from a pen-and-paper exam to a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with a revamped question paper pattern for engineering and pharmacy.
- No more Paper 1 and Paper 2 division. One single question paper contains 3 sections - Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
- Engineering aspirants attempt Maths, Physics and Chemistry, and Pharmacy candidates attempt only Physics and Chemistry.

KEAM 2026 exam pattern for the Engineering and Pharmacy paper is given below:
Engineering Exam Structure
- Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Total Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes)
- Total Questions: 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each featuring 5 options (A to E)
- Total Marks: 600 marks
- Subject-Wise Question and Mark Distribution
- Mathematics: 75 questions, worth 300 marks
- Physics: 45 questions, worth 180 marks
- Chemistry: 30 questions, worth 120 marks
Pharmacy-Only Exam Structure
- Total Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes (90 minutes)
- Total Questions: 75 MCQs
- Total Marks: 300 marks
- Subject Distribution: 45 Physics questions (180 marks) and 30 Chemistry questions (120 marks)
Marking Scheme of the KEAM Paper
- Correct Answer: +4 marks
- Incorrect Answer: -1 mark

To calculate score in KEAM, you have to count the number of correct answers and multiply them by 4. From the result, deduct the number of wrong answers.
The KEAM exam marking scheme is similar to the JEE Main. Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks will be deducted for not attempting a question.
To be considered for the KEAM 2026 engineering rank list, candidates need to score at least a minimum normalised score of 10 in the KEAM 2026 Engineering Entrance Examination.

As per the past three years' cutoff trend, TKM College of Engineering KEAM cutoff is generally released for 2 rounds of admission. In the first round, the maximum admissible rank was 7792 (BTech in Civil Engineering), and in the last round, it was 8758 for the BTech in Civil Engineering course.
